The house was completely rebuilt and renovated in 2017 and we've added a few more touches to make it a perfect beachside getaway. The windows and skylights make this house so sunny and cheerful. You can see a peek of the Scusset Beach light tower from the back windows. The neighborhood is fun and safe to walk around, jog to the beach, or just sit out at the front patio. This is our favorite place in the world and we hope you will enjoy it too!

How close is Town Neck Beachside Hideaway to downtown Sandwich?
This property was exactly what we wanted. Nice clean house in a sleepy beach town close to everything. There were little touches missing (like bed linens) that could have made it a better for people flying in, but overall a great experience.
When we arrived there was trash in the kitchen barrel, the refrigerator light was not working. IT could have been dusted better, we say plenty of Cobb webs. The property could have some better blinds in the bedroom windows. IT was a very nice house though.
The house was nice and clean and looked like the pictures in the listing. My two daughters really enjoyed drawing in the art corner. I didnât realize linens and towels were not provided until I received the rental agreement prior to my stay, however, I had enough time to plan ahead and buy and bring my own. Other than that, the house had everything we needed and everyone was comfortable. The neighborhood was a classic sleepy beach town. Well maintained and quiet. Thank you for having us!
The house was beautiful! Great layout, extremely spacious, and a lovely slice of view. One bed was very comfortable, the other two were VERY firm. I don't remember seeing in the listing that a linen service was required separately. I did get an email, but we rented while waiting to board a plane, so it was a surprise when we landed. Luckily we were visiting family in town, and we were able to borrow from them. IMHO, I think it should be written in the property listing and not sent as an email after paying for the rental. However.... I highly recommend this home for a stay. We will absolutely rent it again!
We enjoyed our stay in Sandwich, it was our first time to the sleepy little town. The house was as advertised. Beautiful kitchen, well stocked. The beds (one queen, two full) were firm but comfortable. We did bring our own linens and towels. The shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Walkable to the beach, which was key for us. Beach access is either next to Treehouse Brewing (another plus for us!) but the beach there is all rocks, or on the other side of the neighborhood at Town Neck Beach. This beach has the boardwalk over the marsh, which is beautiful, and a beach made up of lots of broken shells. Still plenty of room to enjoy the beach, especially at low tide. We had local dinners at the Burger Bar and Fishermanâs View, we highly recommend both! We also visited Heritage Museum & Gardens, thats a must do in the area.
The recommendations we have to improve future stays would be new pillows (or bring your own), the pillows provided are extremely thin. Little nightstands in the queen bedroom would be very helpful as well. Our main issue during our stay was the ants. They are clearly a known problem, as there are dozens of traps placed around the kitchen/dining area. However, it doesnât seem to be helping. They were everywhere - on the counters, on the couches upstairs, even in our beds! Iâd rather not mark the whole stay with less stars because it is a great place, otherwise clean, and a great location, but please get that taken care of!
