No early ck in was offered rejected at door till reservation will become active at 3pm. Returned at 3 and the made me wait to ck in at the big ballroom till my name was called like we were campers then send me to reception were there was a long line that had individuals and groups checking in up to 8 rooms just to add 2 additional ppl then made an additional long line to pay for the added ppl buffet. Once we got to the room the key didn't work and we had to go back to reception to get ot fixed.There were no more space to reserve on their "so called" 6 exclusive restaurants that (by the way are only open for dinner time,) but the general Balan C. buffet restaurant which served the same menu daily just with a different presentation (grilled veggies, chicken tights etc) I was finally able to reserve dinner at the farthest restaurant the last night I was there this place had not illumination due to briken lamps we had to turn on our cellphone cameras in order to see our food, line ppl refused to put more sushi till I pointed out to them they gave us a late dinner reservation for 8:45 pm and it was not my problem they wanted to leave already. Waitresses Alfredo and Mirna were extremely rude never smiled. Mirna almost slammed the sushi plate she brought us at the table and Alfredo kept taking cups, plates, etc without our approval rushing us to finish eating. The only person that seemed to know how to treat guests was Veronica who was serving drinks on Sunday 28th at Balam.buffet
Not enough illumination at the Bamboo Thai Restaurant, lamp bulbs were burnt out we use our cell lights, waitresses Alfredo, Mirna were very rude and disrespectful bad food not authentic

The air conditioning unit was pretty noisy. The beds were super uncomfortable; one, in particular, was broken and had a noticeable dip in the middle. The food selection was rather limited. While some staff members were really nice, most seemed quite annoyed. The entertainment provided was fun. Our room cleaning attendant was awesome, showing attention to detail. The checkout person was really nice and tried his best.

The resort was definitely in need of some updating. The food was mediocre at best. They advertised 6 bars, however only 2 were actually open (in season). Day passes are popular here. Be ready to wait in lines to be disappointed.

The room were neglected, food was not the best, the worst part of the hotel was the check in, no organization and no lack of customers service, no manager in site to file a complaint of misconduct. The servers and outside staff were completely welcoming other that it was not a good experience

Rooms are very outdated. Customer service is very poor. Reservations for à la carte dining are ridiculous. They need a better system in place, with more organization and communication. No shuttles or golf carts are available for people with limited mobility. The food was not the best, with no variety—the same buffet menu every day. We stayed 5 days, and by day 4, I was fed up with the food, so we went out to eat. The place really needs an upgrade in everything. I don't think I would return.

As always, the country itself was absolutely beautiful, and the people—both on and off the property—were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The staff at the resort clearly work very hard. Our room was large, comfortable, and kept impeccably clean throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. However, a number of issues kept this experience from being what we hoped for. **Dining & Drinks:** Even at the buffet, guests cannot get their own beverages. There were several times we finished an entire meal before a server brought us water or anything else to drink. Additionally, when we were at the beach or pool, we had to walk quite a distance to reach a bar for even a simple non-alcoholic drink, which doesn’t feel very “all-inclusive.” **Logistics:** We were only given one room key, which was surprisingly frustrating. Since my husband and I often come and go at different times, it made coordinating our day much more difficult than it needed to be. **Entertainment:** The resort advertised entertainment as part of its all-inclusive package, but the only offering was a small “dance club” with a basic karaoke setup. It felt more like an afterthought

Staff was great — very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. However, some of the amenities need better maintenance. Certain areas looked worn out and could use attention to improve the guest experience. Another major concern was the behavior of some visitors. Many were extremely loud, shouting, fighting, over-drinking, and using foul language. I even witnessed people urinating in the garden areas, which was very unpleasant and unacceptable for a hotel environment. The hotel should enforce stricter rules to ensure a more respectful and family-friendly atmosphere.

Excellent service at the buffet areas, and friendly Staff at the bar and pool areas, swimming pools where keep clean at all times the hotel it self was very basic nothing fancy the AC didn’t work half the time lack of service or maintenance perhaps, hot water work half the time etc… Overall we had good time but I would not came back again.
