You truly have found paradise when you rent this amazing farmhouse in Los Olivos on 6 acres. Located just 3/4 of a mile from the center of Los Olivos, at the end of a private lane sits this wonderful property perched on a hilltop. Breathtaking views of the neighboring cattle ranches and Santa Ynez Valley Mountain Range abound.
This property is complete with main house of 2 bedrooms: one primary bedroom with a king bed and full bath, and secondary bedroom with a queen bed and full bath; there is also an additional half bath powder room. Additionally, just steps outside guests will find a detached pool cabaña .Enter the house through its charming dutch door to find wood beamed ceilings, sandstone fireplaces, abundant warmth and coziness that feels like home. A beautiful Gourmet kitchen with island/bar that opens to the Family Room with fireplace, formal dining area, formal Living room with fireplace, master bedroom suite with fireplace and King size bed, Guest bedroom suite with Queen size bed, powder room for guests, outdoor dining fireside on the patios with picnic table, bistro table and lounge chairs plus gas BBQ. Bring your bathing suits for the spa and 75'x12' lap pool (pool is not heated unless requested, but summer months the pool cover keeps the pool hot). There is also a separate building that is a pool cabana with bathroom/shower.The pool cabaña is approximately 75 feet away from the main house and provides a nice getaway with wonderful views as well.

Amazing house!
Wow! What an fantastic property! It was so serene and the grounds are just perfect. Was very close to downtown which made it convenient as well. The kitchen was well stocked, house was comfortable and the pool and hot tub were a hit with the kids. A perfect place for a relaxing and comfortable family get away!

Second stay
This was our second stay at the Los Olivos Dream Farmhouse. Great location for sightseeing and wine tasting, super relaxing ambience, and comfortable beds. We were a little disappointed to see that wood burning fireplaces inside had been converted to gas (we enjoy and were looking forward to a cozy wood fire) but understand there might be fire safety issues that prompted these changes. Listing should be updated to reflect these changes. Although it’s a very homey atmosphere, the home could use a little TLC and updating in some areas (primary bedroom bed skirt was torn and some blankets were either stained or dirty, some furniture upholstery had holes), and the house wasn’t as clean as the first time we stayed (crumbs on kitchen stools and floors, some pots and pans were greasy and not properly cleaned, shards of broken plastic cup around hot tub outside). There was a problem with the water tank on the property, so we did not have any water for a little over an hour one morning but Mark was responsive and resolved the issue as quickly as possible.

Off the grid in paradise

Country Cottage Paradise
We had the best time at the Los Olivos cottage. It’s a little slice of paradise tucked in to the countryside. Mark was excellent, on top of everything and very accommodating. We had every amenity we could have ever needed. I would rent this home for every trip to the Santa Ynez Valley. Simply wonderful!

Our go-to for a great getaway!
We’ve stayed at the fig property 4 times now and we look forward to it every year for our bday treats. We hardly leave unless we run out of wine or beer! A swim in the pool is such a great way to start the day and I am always inspired to do a little watercoloring because the views are amazing. We arrived in a wind/rain storm this year and the clouds were even more impressive. We love cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and Mark is a gracious host. A very comfortable and lovely place to stay.

Beautiful property and amazing location!
We enjoyed the amenities at this property! The pool was huge and so much fun! And the sauna was a great bonus! And the location couldn’t be better being so close to the tasting rooms in Los Olivos.
