    Amazing property
    The property is very expansive, and was so great for sectioning off kid zones and adult zones. Everything was gorgeous inside and we all had a fantastic stay. We're already talking about taking another trip up to santa cruz just to stay here again.

    Property needs updating
    Traveled for work and overall, it was fine. The house definitely needs renovating. There is still carpet from the 80’s in a few of the rooms, the linens are ancient and there were blood stains on the mattress in the back bedroom. The location was fabulous as it was close to the retail store we were opening and the owner was very kind. The worst part of the trip was that the gate to the property required a code to both enter and exit the property. On our departure date, the gate broke. I contacted the property owners and the security guard and it took over an hour for someone to come and help us. The gate never ended up working, including with the use of the emergency fire department gate key, and they ended up having to cut the chain so we could leave through the back of the property. Such an absolute hazard. Had an ambulance or fire truck needed to get to the house, it would have been impossible. Furthermore, while trying to escape, we all ruined our shoes in the muddy swamp. We made our plane, barely, but it was a horrible experience. I would recommend this property only if it gets renovated and they do something about that gate. Proceed with caution.

    Thanksgiving Gathering
    We stayed for our family’s annual Thanksgiving gathering. Property location is right off Highway 17 near all Santa Cruz activities. Secluded and quiet property. The house is lovely and accommodated everyone. The best part was that each bedroom had its own private bathroom and included walk-in showers for an elderly family member. All on one level with no steps. Patio areas are a nice addition. The master suite is very large with a small office, walk- in closet and soaker tub and walk-in shower. Access to patio out slider doors. Garage converted to rec room with pool table and games. Property manager always available for assistance. Definitely would stay again. 😊

    We had a wonderful time during our stay at the gatehouse. The location was perfect for the wedding at hollins house. Nacole was readily available for our questions. The only little disappointment was the malfunctioning jacuzzi.

    This is a great location. Easy to get around to the city of Santa Cruz, the mountains, etc. A perfect location for our family as we prepared for our sons wedding in the Santa Cruz Mountains of Ben Lomond.

    Nice setup for golf trip
    The house was a perfect fit for a golf group of four. The beds were very comfortable and every bedroom had its own bath. Nice pool table in the garage area! Unfortunately, the house is little tired and could use some updating. The back area has potential but furniture had mold all over it making it unusable. Could use some general upgrades to make the space more accommodating. The cleaning service has missed many cobwebs throughout the house. But if you are just looking for a place to shack up on a golf trip to Pasatiempo it fits the bill.

    Like a movie set, but not in a good way.
    Initially the home seemed wonderful but quickly we discovered that so many things did not work properly. The AC on the left side of the house was not cooling at all. When I contacted Nacole on Friday when we arrived to resolve the issue she responded that she would call someone to fix it on Monday- not at all helpful for us! In addition, the bedroom on the left side of the house does not have any windows that open & the exit door is the deadbolted- definitely a fire hazard & unsafe! The curtains in this bedroom were also falling off the wall & letting in the light from the motion activated security light outside. I felt terrible for our friends who stayed in this bedroom! The igniter on the gas BBQ does not work & the alarm system beeped every few minutes throughout the night until I contacted Nacole the next day & received instructions to silence it. While the dishwasher did work, it almost falls out of the cabinet when loading/unloading. We joked the home was like a movie set where things looked good at first but then didn’t always operate properly. Overall it’s a lovely place that just needs some basic maintenance & a key to be able to unlock the bedroom deadbolt in case of a fire.

    Excellent!
    Nacole's place is beautiful! We stayed two nights for our wedding that took place at The Hollins House. The location couldn't have been better. There was plenty of space for my bridal party to get ready and feel comfortable on the wedding day! Nacole's space is well kept and has all the amenities one might need! We're already thinking about staying here again!
