The roach on the pillow next to me watching TV was interesting. Smushed him with the remote. Owner treated me like a criminal at check-in cause I was using a business card for payment.

Being the newest hotel in town, it has been let go. The room had all the right amenities, but many things showed the lack of upkeep. The staff however was very courteous.

Convenient but not in good shape! Old towels no coffee in room. Batteries missing in the remote ( service desk replaced them). room had a odor about it.Continental breakfast only had coffee, orange juice and small muffins!

Expensive for a double bed at a truck stop.

Check in after 3:00 pm. out by 11:00 am. Tub in need to repairs, only a double bed, and big rigs coming and going all night.

Weekend Golf

Good room. Good people. The ice machine was broken but that was my only issue. It is near the freeway but there is no noise issue. Great golf!

Nice Hotel, but not updated

Pros: Big rooms and quiet
Cons: Maybe update, but why? it's clean.
Location: Thirty minutes from ojai
Very quiet, large rooms, Doesn't have an elevator, but it only has two stories. I loved it because all I needed was rest after a crazy day. Easy to commute anywhere as it is very close to major road. I never heard a word or noise so I slept like a rock.

Good for the price

I stayed a night at the Ocean Gateway Inn with my boyfriend on Valentines day. Over all the room was pretty good for the price. The bed was pretty comfortable and they had a microwave and fridge in the room which was nice for leftovers. I was a bit nervous to stay here after reading some of the bad comments but they have fix a lot of the problems. My boyfriend and I were both pretty satisfied with our stay.

It was bad for the price.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, refrig & microwave, alarm clock in room
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, Poor breakfast, uncomfortable bed
I'm sorry to say but, I have seen much cleaner and more comfortable for the price. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. The carpets were stained and worn. The bed was too hard with a mattress pad on a queen size bed that was made for a double. The pillows were flat. The towels are worn, gray and smelled sour. The toilet handle was dirty. And I could hear through the walls. I didn't feel welcome or comfortable. I will try to go somewhere else next time.

Would not stay here again

Cons: No free Internet, cleanliness is not a focus here
This is a hotel that I would not use under normal circumstances. Just happened to be convenient for interview meeting. In the future I will definitely stick to name brands that I am familiar with. If I had taken the trouble of checking out the quality before booking the room I would have been well served.
