The bedrooms were big and comfortable and the kitchen had everything that we needed. But the absolute best was the outside patio that was large with a fireplace on one side and a fire pit on the other with lots of seating. The people (especially Allen) at Beach Habitat were very attentive and were always available when we needed them. We have already booked this house for next year! That’s how much we liked i.

Beautiful Home, Perfect Location

We are a family of 8 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The house was immaculate and the back patio was straight from Tuscany. The green area behind the house is perfect for kids to play and make new friends during the week. You are in walking distance to the best pool in all of Watercolor. We will be back!

This house is beautiful! Bedrooms and bathrooms all spacious and comfortable. Outdoor area was perfect for nightly s’mores. Location close to everything especially Camp Watercolor!

Perfect location and backyard fire pit/fireplace

We loved this house and the location. The management company was easy to communicate with and very receptive to anything we needed. We had seen reviews about the back patio being dirty/unusable which I mentioned to The prior to arrival. They immediately responded that they will have a power washed and cleaned right before our arrival and when we arrived, it was immaculate.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Floors inside home are unlevel. There is a large hump leading inside the master bedroom posing a great fall risk for the elderly. We had to go purchase a walker to be used inside the home. This was not mentioned in the description. Home is beautifully decorated. Master bedroom toilet runs constantly. Dryer only works with the lint door open and beeps a great deal. Carport door is very hard to lock.

We did not have hot water the entire trip. The credit they offered and gave us was not really much considering it was March and we could not shower or wash any dishes or clothes with hot water. Disappointed.

Reviewer Comments: Things that could be addressed for our future stay. very few coffee cups any utensils, the knives and pots are excellent.The kitchen needs storage pieces, such as Tupperware to contain leftovers.The linens on the beds are old.and need be replaced because the bottom fitted sheet does not stay in place .The pillows on all of the beds are terribly flat and worn. For a house that is this expensive and decorated with hundreds of throw pillows. It seems that the owners could provide sleeping pillows that are at least adequate..The front porch has plastic ugly artificial plants in three large pots.These are unattractive and a nesting spot for numerous mosquitoes.The house is pretty and does not need fake front plants. Also these plants are extremely dusty should be eliminated so that the front porch area can be cleaned!

Let’s start with the positive: this home is in a fantastic location for families. It backs onto a beautiful green space and is just steps from Camp WaterColor. The house itself is stylishly decorated with high-end appliances, which made cooking full meals easy and enjoyable. The rental company was also extremely responsive and kind.Unfortunately, the condition of the home left a lot to be desired. We walked into what felt like a half-cleaned house—sheets were draped over the dining chairs and couch, the living room chairs were visibly dirty, and a jagged glass had been put away in the kitchen cabinet. We noticed buckling floors downstairs, thick dust on the kitchen rafters, and even had to pick up three cockroaches. Most concerning of all was a serious mold problem on the second-floor ceiling, which was visibly spreading and dripping down the wall.While we made some great memories outside the home, the state of the house was a major drawback to our trip. This was our family’s first visit to WaterColor, and based on this experience, we’re hesitant to return. I’d be worried this level of upkeep is typical. With proper maintenance, this could be a truly beautiful property—but as it stands, we actually chose to leave a day early. It was worth the financial loss just to get out of a space that felt unclean.

Summer beach vacay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great week in Watercolor! We vacation several times a year & have rented houses on Spartina for the past several years. Having young children, the location is perfect & easy to walk to Camp Watercolor. Beach Habitats has been a good rental company to work with, always attentive to any needs. This is the first time renting 359 Spartina & it would not be our first choice next time. The home was clean & worked for our group but it is sorely in need of updates & repairs. We noticed water damage to the ceiling & rafters, several of the pocket doors had broken pulls & the one used for the bathroom in the bunk room did not close at all. The wine fridge was not working. The outdoor fireplace was great but the fire pit was not working. The tile showers could all use a deep clean but it could also be time for updates, which makes cleaning more difficult. Again, none of these things ruined our week, just observation of the need for some TLC for this special home on Spartina Circle, since we have rental experience with several others.

Beach Habitat was great!

Whoever owns this house needs to work harder on offering a better product. The pictures make it look like it's a showstopper and this couldn't be further from the truth. The furniture in the den needs to be replaced, it the house needs a good deep clean! It doesn't like this has been down for some time. the Outdoor space was nothing like we saw from the pics. We couldnt sit there is was so dirty! Not sure if the furniture needs to be replaced or not! We unfortunately would not stay here again due to the above comments. Until and unless things change as mentioned I couldn't recommend this property! I do not think this is a reflection of Beach Habitat however, they were wonderful. Whoever owns this home needs to visit and make this necessary changes, cleaning and furniture upgrades

A "fine" beach house

The overall rating for this home is a 3 out of 5. This house was "fine". A "good" house would be 4 out of 5, and a "great" house would have been 5 out of 5. The location was amazing! Walking distance to Camp Water Color and the "play field" is literally steps out of the back door. The rental company was also amazing! Very responsive and very helpful. The age and state of the house is what brought the rating down. But, let me be clear, the house was very clean. There was not any dust or dirt anywhere. I believe other posters that say the house was "dirty" are not understanding what a 10 year old plus beach house looks like. The house was very "well lived in" as they say. The appliances are all old and not necessarily fully functional but are basically functional. The washer and dryer are extremely small. The dryer is so old that it take multiple rounds of drying to fully dry a full load. The oven is very small. The stove has only one eye that reliably works. The shower heads are old with unusual spray patterns. The kitchen items that are left in place is very limited. There are only a few glasses to use for drinking, there were only 4 or 5 bowls for eating cereal, and the cooking wear is very worn and old. These are just a few of the things we noticed. The TV are not easily usable and the Sonos speaker system didn't function. There is not a digital door lock so you will be forced to keep up with an old school hard key for the entire length of your stay. If you are looking for a basic beach house that is located in Watercolor then you will be happy. And let me mention that the air conditioner/heater is amazing. The house was easily cooled or warmed as needed and there are great ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms. If you are accustomed to the usual upscale homes in Watercolor then you won't be happy. I booked this house because it was one of the last houses left during our time frame and I had to be in Watercolor so that my kids could use all of the Watercolor pools and Camp Watercolor is a must for my family. So, we were pleased and got exactly what we thought we would get. A basic and aging beach house that has a great location in an exclusive development. It will be clean but shows it's age.

We have stayed at this house multiple times because it is the perfect size for our family and the decorating of the house has always been amazing.We were slightly disappointed that we were not able to check in at 4pm on the day we arrived because cleaning had not finished. This is disappointing because check out is 9am (which is really early) and check in is late at 4pm and we still did not get in on time.Further, the cleaning that delayed us was not done well and cleaning people had to come back to clean shower. Also, there were not enough pans, bowls, etc. but that was fixed half way through our visit. Supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, detergent (which there was none for washing machine) were sparse which is strange for a house this high.Overall, we love the property and have stayed at this house many times. We love it and the decorating inside cannot be matched. But, the cleaning (which we pay a lot for) and supplies while you stay the week need to be increased because it is strange to have no extra toilet paper, etc for a fancy amazing house.

Very nice fire pit and fireplace area in the backyard that led out to the huge soccer field and Camp Watercolor was a huge plus for all of our boys. The house layout was very nice as well. The only downside was the cleanliness of the living room and outdoor furniture, but overall a great experience.

Outside furniture is very dirty, lots of clutter and weeds. There are pots and for flowers everywhere. A key code is a much easier sister to lock doors. There was not enough bowls and the pams need to be replaced.

The home is absolutely beautiful and the perfect location for enjoying the amenities of Watercolor. It is steps away from Camp Watercolor, where we spent a lot of our time. The interior was very clean and spacious. Our only complaints were (1) the outdoor furniture was very dirty, and (2) the kitchen was not well stocked. The house sleeps 8, and there were only 8 or 9 drink glasses total. There was barely enough silverware when we cooked out. And there are zero utensils for the grill. Again, our overall experience was great. These were just a couple of minor things that others just may want to prepare for if they stay here.

Week in Watercolor in October

Reviewer Comments: We stayed at 359 Spartina Circle and the location is one of the best in Watercolor; we backed up to the soccer field and were a two minute walk to Camp Watercolor. Outdoor patio is great; fireplace and firepit are both gas with ample outdoor seating. Truly three master bedrooms, with awesome bunk room for kids. We slept four adults and four kids comfortably. Plenty of bikes to ride as well. Everything was clean and well maintained, with plenty of towels provided. Management company was responsive on small question; very friendly folks! Two very minor complaints: we wish the kitchen had more plates and bowls, and the parking situation is pretty narrow if you have two SUV's. Overall, we will stay here again!!!

Beautiful Spacious Home

Reviewer Comments: The house we rented was great - very spacious, great back courtyard area and not too far from beach via golf cart and super close to Camp Watercolor. Some areas to improve upon though that would make it so much better was all porches were filthy. Couldn’t really use them because you would get dirty sitting on them. A pressure washer can do wonders. Also, not enough dishes and silverware - there were maybe 5 steak knives that didn’t have the tips broke off and my son literally ate cereal out of a mixing bowl because there weren’t enough bowls. Small things that could make a huge difference! The stove and oven I’m sure were top of the line several years ago, but with the markings worn off it was difficult to cook on. Also the washer and dryer both worked ok but squealed during use which made it difficult to sleep in bunk room while they were going. Also last thing to be aware of...if you rent a golf cart, you only have one dedicated parking spot in driveway. My husbands large truck barely fit and we had to keep swapping out to get golf cart in and out. Overall we loved the house and it’s charm - just needs a few tweaks.
