3.5-star motel near Luther Burbank Home and Gardens
There's a restaurant on site. Free breakfast is served daily. WiFi and wired Internet are free in public spaces. 2 meeting rooms and coworking spaces are available. A library, tour/ticket assistance, and a garden are also featured at the business-friendly The Astro. The motel can provide concierge services and wedding services. Limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The room was large and clean. There was no closet or real place to hang clothes and the bathroom could use a vanity or table to place your kit.Otherwise, very nice.
Parking space is limited, youâll have to find street parking.
They have parking space behind the leasing office, didnât open it on weekday, even though the main parking was full.
We have stayed at the Astro twice and loved it both times. There is a lovely garden with several sculptures and a park next door where you can relax in nature. We also dined at the Spinster Sisters and had an excellent meal. We would stay here again.
Loved the eclectic/retro decor. Room was clean with ample goodies to munch on and drink. Staff were courteous and helpful. We will defiantly stay there next time in Santa Rosa.
Such a charming and well-located spot! The decor and grounds are lovely, and the simple breakfast (especially the coffee) really hits the spot. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The mattress and pillows were unbelievably comfortableâbetter than many 5-star hotels Iâve stayed in. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs, as some noise carries.
With a few small updatesâlike adding a double lock (!), fixing the musty smell, and putting in blackout blindsâthis place would be improved.
Thanks for a great stay!
There were two hairs on my pillow upon entering my room. The bed was made but the sheets were wrinkled it a way that didnât make me feel like everything was washed?
The bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were so tall and firm my neck hurt the next day. Overall, it looked well maintained but didnât feel clean. No elevator, no help to carry bags upstairs.
I was excited to stay here and initial communication was great. Had requested a ground floor room due to mobility and received a msg back several days before our arrival that they had it all taken care of. Unfortunately when we arrived they had us upstairs and there were no more double rooms which is what I had booked. They then were going to give us 2 rooms, 1 upstairs and 1 down but only after I had told him the one bed would not work. We really wanted to stay together so ended up with a rollaway bed which really aren't meant for adults. I went in the next morning and talked to the manager who apologized and said she would look and see how she could compensate us for the issue. Seemed nice but never heard a word again. All on all a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
As for the room, it was clean. The bed is VERY firm, like caused body parts to fall asleep firm. The rollaway was short but the mattress was better. There was hair stuck to the blankets we were given for the rollaway, not pleasant to see. The pillows were quite fat, though one they brought for the rollaway was nice. The shower had decent water pressure though we struggled at first to figure out how to get the water hot, it's the button on the handle if you have that one that does it. The shower gel smelled and felt wonderful. AC is LOUD and rattles. Granola truly is as good as everyone says. Lots of yogurt flavors and muffins.
If we had received the room we booked it would have been an ok stay.
The property with somebody who took a motel, gave it a paint job through a picture on the wall thought it was really a cool mid-century look nothing like the things Iâve encountered in Palm Springs or other places where they put a lot more money into the rooms and the furnishings and the comfort. It just looked like a motel where they ripped out the carpet and tried to make it look something special, but to me it was absolutely underwhelming. If I knew what it was, I wouldâve never reserved.
Cool motel, love its remodel, nice living room to hang out in if you need some more space, rooms are clean with nice bed, pillow, fridge, tv. I saw some reviews on it being louder, I could see how if it was crowded that could be, but we stayed on a weekday and it was not crowded, and silent. Right next to a nice park. Main parking lot was easy, and they have an overflow if needed.
