This is was one of the coziest , most unique places I’ve ever stayed at. I didn’t realize until the last day that we didn’t have a TV. So much little things at this hotel along with its perfect location that make it crazy good. The only thing that would’ve made it perfect is the breakfast was the same everyday. Wish they had more options , however it was high quality and you had so many options outside that I see why they chose to focus on few good quality great food. Also have a night bar that was amazing. Great setup and don’t want to try any other hotel.

Where do I even start? We had a 12-day vacation in Japan. Started in Tokyo (exceptional service and place), then to Kyoto (Magnificent), then to Sapporo, to see the winter snow statues. The hotel in Sapporo, though, as they advertise, being a new hotel, is actually very minimalistic. There is nothing wrong with minimalistic, but it would be nice to know details prior to arrival. Room - extremely tiny. No TV - though we had no problem with that as they use a record player to substitute. NO water bottles in the room as you have to go to the 2nd floor to request. No toiletries - same process - have to go to the 2nd floor. Coffee ?? - NO coffee, but there is tea - but you have to go to the second floor to get it. Bed - is for people that preffer to sleep on the floor, as it is just as firm. The restaurant has much to learn from local "mom and pop" restaurants for quality. Service is beyond "sub-par," especially by Japanese standards. It was honestly a big disappointment, considering that this was the most expensive hotel during our trip, and was half "at best" as good as the other ones.
