Lots of windows and skylight in the bathroom. This apartment is unique as it is the only one with exposed steel and wood structure beams. The bed is a queen sized bed. The floors are original hardwood with area rugs and the Kitchen and Bathroom are all tiled.
The exterior doors are coded and always locked. You will receive your code to enter the morning of your arrival. With only 8 suites it is a gem and home away from home.
We live on-site so let us know if you need anything or a change of towels. We will help as we can. There is a Sarasota Visitor Center in walking distance that has TONS of brochures and ideas of things to do while you visit Sarasota.
We are centrally located so getting around is easy and you can walk to almost everything, no need for a car but by car is easy too. There are scooters to rent just outside the building, a trolley down the street that takes you to the beach or St. Armands and a bus stop outside. Sarasota has UBER and Cabs. You can rent bikes and boat rentals about three blocks away. The SRQ Sarasota Bradenton Airport airport is only 5 miles away.
This unit is in a wonderful location in historic downtown Sarasota. Itâs easy to walk to a market (Whole Foods), many shops and restaurants, and to Bayshore Park and the Marie Selby Gardens. Parking is available on side streets, and proved not to be a problem throughout our stay. The unit is somewhat small, but cute and basically comfortable with lots of natural light. It is an older building, however, and you can hear activity in the adjacent apartment. There is a superb informal restaurant next door that advertises Sarasotaâs best pizza and may be right. The host was welcoming and responsive to all of our questions. The VRBO listing is complete and accurate, and the website for the property (burnssquare.com) was also helpful in planning out trip.
Enjoyed everything about this property except the very loud morning noise of a spin class next door. Surprised Sarasota doesnât have a noise ordinance.
We were very satisfied with our stay at Burns Square. The location was perfect and we we found the place very clean and our host was available for guidance of things that made our vacation perfect. We can highly recommend this place to friends and family for future visits.
This historic building, walk up apartment is centrally located in a very popular downtown area. The location had easy access to restaurants, galleries, and Sarasota sites as downtown has more commercial features. Enjoyed the walkability and adjacent Bay area walking paths. The owner was very accommodating and available for questions. My husband and I were comfortable with the apartment's features and building's artsy atmosphere. Parking is available, but not dedicated.
Cece is a marvelous manager for this property. Very helpful. The apartment needs some upgrades including a garbage disposal and better amenities for eating.
