RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #242 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

We enjoyed being close to the beach, seeing sunsets every night, and having conveniences such as a disposal and modern dishwasher. The unit was clean overall, though I suggest they replace the shower curtain liner. Silver Sands is a nice quiet resort; we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere.

This property was perfect for us! It's right on the beautiful beaches that this area is known for. It was well decorated, had everything we needed, large screened in porch, heated pool, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Gulf vaca

I booked this property online because it was one of the most reasonably priced. It has rooms that lead directly to the pool and the beautiful beach beyond. I’m handicapped and really appreciated being able to go right out our screened in patio to pool or beach. The water was aqua and gorgeous! The people were so nice and very accommodating! Highly recommend!

Much needed get away

Our stay was wonderful. The area and grounds were beautiful and it was super easy to get to the beach. My husband is disabled and this was a huge plus. The unit was what was advertised. We loved it being on the ground floor with no steps to climb. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the tv with Netflix options was a plus we do not get to enjoy this amenity at home. The front desk was very helpful and courteous. The only observations that may need attention are the shower pressure and drain. The pressure was low and the drain didn’t want to work very well. We made it fine but it might be an area to consider looking into. It might be good to have a few more utensils in the kitchen as well as a noodle ladle.

Had a great time staying in 242. Pool clean, nice temp. Beach clean. Room had new large flat screen tv and Netflix, Prime capable. The people in the office were extremely nice, professional and helpful. The baseboards and vents could use a good cleaning but everything else was good.

Weekend Getaway

Everything was very nice. Our only problem was the sliding glass door was open when we checked in, and was hard to close. We had a heck of a time locking it. Otherwise, nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Would recommend.

Beachfront property

This property has a spectacular location, very accessible to walk from your unit right to the beach. They have chairs and beach toys for there guests, and a shower to rinse off after a long day on the beach. The pool is quite large, and kept up well. The property is in a great location, close to shopping and many restaurants, but far enough for a peaceful retreat. Each unit has a screened in porch, so at night the bugs dont bother you. They even supply a drying rack for wet suits and towels. Our unit was very clean and had everything we would need for a weeks stay. I will come back here again !!

great destination. great accommodations. mid-key makes it idea. good restaurants nearby so no need to get in line to go up to AMI. only ask, reconsider decking material on the stairs going down to the beach. unbearable to walk on barefoot when the sun is hitting it.

Great Place for a Great Time

The check in was quick and easy, provided us with nice map and outline of property. The pool close the beach access was amazing! Although there was a little red tide that didn’t slow us down. We rented a couple of bikes and just hopped down to some public beaches where it wasn’t as bad. We were able to keep them secure on our linai that made evenings enjoyable as well. We will be returning to this place in the future.

Great location, pool and beach

Stayed for a week and overall it was great but the cleaning crew could do a better job though, which is why I can't give a 5 star review. Margaret at the front desk was fantastic, so helpful and friendly. The pool area and beach were perfect and having access to bikes at Cedars was a plus. We ate at Harry's, Blu Kouzina, Cafe L'Europe and Mar Vista. Highly recommend them all. Would stay again.

Good location, but needs updates

Nice vacation rental with pool and beach access. Needs some maintenance though - fridge is rusted, microwave doesn’t rotate, dish washer and bath fan sound like freight trains. Back door to lanai doesn’t lock so have to walk around. Shower faucet handle getting ready to fall off. Various dings and scratches. Bed was squeaky.

Longboat Key Condomiun

We absolutely loved the condo, it was the perfect location, perfect size for us. The pool was right out our door, the beach was a short walk down the property with pool chairs and umbrellas available for guests. We will definitely be back.
