Our Bear Paw Cottage is reminiscent of the motor court of the past and offers level parking, which makes this cottage great for motorcycle enthusiasts or people who want to avoid a cabin with a lot of stairs
. With a BRAND NEW queen sized LOG BED and a sleeping loft with a double sized mattress, our studio-style Bear Paw Cottage comfortably sleeps two adults and two small children.
The hot tub on the covered porch offers a enjoyable, relaxing experience with the comfort of privacy.

Convenient and quiet

Very convenient location to downtown. Just as the description said, small and cozy. Really nice to have the fireplace in this cold season (December) and the hot tub was a bonus! Not one of those screaming hot jacuzzis but still nice in the cold. Bed was comfortable and the amenities were perfectly suited for a nice weekend getaway but I could easily see staying a week or more and being satisfied. We will definitely come back here again, especially with the prices. Downtown is much more expensive but you pay to be within walking distance of drinking and shopping. We were more focused on the quiet and the hot tub!

Cozy cabin

We booked a last minute getaway to Helen with our 2 cats. This property was about 3 miles away from town, however, the roads are 35 and 30 mph. The cabin was clean and basic and exactly as described. I was grateful that they were willing to accommodate our cats. Penny was extremely responsive. The WiFi was very dependable. My husband and I both worked from the cabin the first day. The negatives were there was no food delivery available. It was further away from the main town then we would have preferred. But this was a small inconvenience. A Little Bit of Heaven!

My husband and I absolutely loved out stay at Timber Loft Cabins. We could not have been happier with the location. The cabin is small, quaint and just what we were looking for to get away for a bit for my birthday. Penny and Shawn were great host and we plan on returning for many years to come!

Weekend Getaway!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here for a quick weekend getaway. It was small, but perfect for 2 people and a pup. Everything was clean, comfortable, and conveniently close Helen. The hot tub was wonderful. We had a small issue with the hot tub but Penny was extremely quick to respond and had everything working for us in no time. I loved the quick, thorough, and kind communication from Penny and her husband. It definitely made this a worry-free vacation.

A Bit Too Small


The place is cozy. However a humidifier and AC Unit running at the same time creates the kind of white noise you don’t want. Queen size bed doesn’t help this space at all as you roll to the center. Not a firm mattress at all. A hotel room in Helen would have been better. Live and learn.
