Beautiful views and spacious home. Loved the hot tub and pool table. Really enjoyed our weekend. I do wish the front steps were lit, it is very dark going down. (Maybe small solar lighting on the side) Overall would definitely recommend , but not for people who have trouble with stairs.
The cabin was beautiful and the location was fantastic. Very secluded and private. The access road may be a little intimidating to some but I didn't mind. We were happy to find a bottle of wine and some flowers left for our anniversary. The problem was with the gas fireplace. We smelled gas and alerted maintenance. He said it was fine and left it on. The next day we smelled it more and felt bad from it. I shut it off and aired things out. There didn't seem to be much concern from anyone about what I thought was a dangerous situation. I expressed this via email and to their credit the owners of the management team called a few days after our trip ended and did refund a small portion of our bill. I really wish I could give a better review because the cabin was nice and location lovely. If i hadn't gotten sick from the fumes, I obviously would have enjoyed it much more. In the end I think management was concerned about how it was handled and apologized. I hope everything is fixed and others can have a great stay.
Very nice cabin, peaceful, secluded, perfect place to get away from the craziness of life. May want to have 4x4, especially if u expect rain. Great distance to Helen and Cleveland. We enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay again!!
This could be a nice place to stay with a little attention to detail. Georgia Mountain Rentals said this was a new listing, so had to wait a day for WIFI password while they contacted the property owner to get it.Walked in on first day to find dead bugs in the jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. The lights in the hot tub did not work. The jets in the jacuzzi did not turn on.This property is advertised as within walking distance to the winery. It is not. When you turn down Yellow Rock road, it is a a one lane gravel/dirt road.On a positive note, it is a very spacious cabin with great views. Short drive to Helen.
