The room was large with a seperate sitting area off to the side. The facility, grounds and room were very clean. Staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast included a variety of hot and cold food. There was plenty of well lit parking. Since it was next to a military facility, helicopters were flying during the day and late evening. This did not interfere with sleep. Overall the hotel was very quiet. Much quieter than hotels closer to the historic downtown.

Had to ask for body wash. No elevator on Tues on 3rd floor! No water on Wed my 70th bday! Breakfast cold on Monday..not as good as Sleep Inn! Barbara, mgr real nice!!!! Marvaline overnight was great!

I was not going to share my review of this property because they offered to make it right, but when the smoke cleared (and all of the credit card holds fell) it turns out… they didn’t. My regret now is that I didn’t take the pictures of the over flowing trash cans or the repulsively filthy “welcome” at at the door or the blackened arms of the chair and couch in the living area. The pillow on the beds were approximately half of a standard pillow and the bed was like laying in a board. That feeling of laying on a board was in stark contrast to the sofas bed which felt like springs with a blanket covering them. You could not feel any padding over them. My kids didn’t want to sleep on it which made our sleeping conditions even more crowded. The floor that had time on it in the bathroom area was sticky and you could hear your shoes make as they stuck to it when you walked. When we walked in the room, it smelled like mist feet. HOWEVEE none of that was my biggest problem. My biggest problem was that I have a mold allergy and I could not sleep all night long for being stopped up, sneezing, having itchy, watery eyes, and my throat burning and itching. I take seasonal allergy medicine but I had to add 3 Benadryl and some throat spray to try to soothe it, which it did not. That was the kicker. My allergies were not flared up when I arrived and they calmed down once we left. That left me with the major concern that there was probably mold somewhere (vents, carpet).

Very clean. Staff was nice. But, could not sleep well, the walls are too thin, heard everything from doors open, to things drop and people talk.

Had an issue with the shower head in our room. The staff didn’t seem too interested in pursuing a resolution for us. They just said they would have to inform maintenance but apparently never did. There was no follow up from staff. Other than that the staff was courteous and the hotel was clean but a bit worn.

Short staffed? Check in was supposed at 3pm. Was ready at 4:45pm. The pool and spa looked inviting but we did not use them. The common areas were clean and tidy. Breakfast was not real good but was about like we expected. All in all about what you might expect for the price.

Too many issues!

Took over 30 minutes to get checked in late at night because they left a "terrified" (his words when asked how he was) maintenance person at the front desk. He couldn't even tell us what time breakfast was served. Didn't say anything about housekeeping either and our room didn't get cleaned until we asked for it after two nights. Our key quit working at least once per day and staff was unapologetic about it. Cleaning supplies were left in the hallway overnight. The room was okay, but showing it's age. We did like that the pool was open until midnight and breakfast was pretty good (except no peanut butter).

Great Location

We loved the location which made it easy to navigate both the Historical Area and the mid city area. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the eating areas were kept clean and neat.

This hotel is directly across the street from a military air base so helicopters coming and going consistently. The AC unit does not turn off unless you unplug it from the wall. Key card stopped working after one day and had to get a new one. The indoor pool is laughably small. Wasn't expecting much for the price but still not a relaxing experience. Will not be staying here again.
