How close is Heated Pool Access | 5*Clean | Flex Cancelation to the airport?
This apartment is 15.5 mi (18-min drive) away from the Savannah - Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
Unit was spacious & clean. However, entry to unit has to be from the back only. The gate in back isn't clearly marked, no handle on gate only a wire to open it. The mattress on bed had a topper on it but it doesn't help. The mattress should be replaced.
The unit was about a five-minute walk to Forsyth Park. The unit was updated and clean. The bedroom and kitchen were spacious. Check-in was easy. Staff was quick to respond to questions. Parking was tight, but free, while many other places charged for parking.
Decor is very blah and kitchen lacked a lot of basics. Wish the header wasnât âpoolâ because itâs 25 minutes away. We did not use. There is a great closed in âgrassyâ area that was great for a big dog. There were several gaps in the fence. Location is fun, close to huge park, bars, and restaurants. We could also hear every step the guests above us took when they came in and out. Overall, it worked for us because we just needed a clean place to sleep , but interior could use some love!
Overall, it is a very nice location and space.
There was one small issue with the outside gate lock; property managers were pretty quick to respond and address it.
Could use a light in the outside area by the front door.
Would stay here again.
This place was perfect for the three of us. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and even had 2 roll out beds that were super soft. Only thing we found lacking was over mirror in bathroom no lighting making it difficult to see well for 2 females getting ready in there.
Numerous issues from lack of lighting in bathroom, cleanliness, electrical issues causing breakers to snap, poor bed, trash in parking area.
Certainly wouldn't recommend.
When your grandchild loves celebrate with a River Street birthday party! So nice to be so close, and not have to pay $$$ for a place to stay! We spent our days walking thru the shops, and our evenings relaxing in a home like atmosphere!!
Thank you
Easy access, clean and welcoming. A bit of a strange layout just a few windows. Kind of creepy street entrance, couldnât always get the gate to work. Walkable to plenty of bars and restaurants and downtown. Noise from upstairs neighbors (footsteps from little kids). Overall decent stay
I choose this property due to it being close to the park and had off street parking. When we arrived we could not get into our assigned parking spot due to friends of the neighbors parked illegally in the roadway and overflowing trash cans in the way. There was a strong odor of a dead animal in the trash cans and flies buzzing all around it. I called the management and they sent someone to spray the can with bug spray, but the odor and trash remained for the entire stay. Called about parking after the problem continued the next day and was advised I could park on the street. Explain I rented the place because of off street parking. The trash cans in the bedroom had not been emptied and no trash bags were available, housekeeper need drop off bags later that day. Later that night we discovered items left under the sheets by the mattress left behind from other guest and a dirty bed sheet in the top of the closet. The second day we found out all the outlets on the wall by the stove and countertop did not work, didnât call because it was not an emergency. The listing states to be respectful of neighbors, but they are part of the problem. Most of them were collage students that were loud and disrespectful. (One evening arguing going on and windows broken out right next door) The listing also states that there may be noise from above rental. We can say this is a YES for sure. The people (10 ladies) staying upstairs were trying their best, but you are going to hear it all.
The air mattress we had the first night was flat in the morning. We attempted to use the pull out sofa which was broken and had a very dirty sheet on it. For a five day stay with 4 people we were only given 2 rolls of toilet paper. The pictures of the pool were false advertising.
The decor was perfect, new but Savannah styled. Everything was stocked, immediate response from Vrbo team. Close enough to town, but far enough to keep it quiet. A perfect spot to enjoy Savannah.
Great place to stay that is a good walking distance from downtown Savannah. Easy to get to and with its own dedicated parking spot behind the unit you will not need to worry about finding a close spot to leave your car.
The only thing we would have liked is for there to be a light over the bathroom mirror.
We loved it! It was absolutely the cutest! The exposed brick was really awesome. The only thing I would add is some plants in the garden to make it a nice place to sit out and drink coffee in the morning.
Southern Belle was very responsive when minor questions asked
We loved staying here! The upstairs neighbors clanked around a little bit just as the other reviewers stated, but not as bad as I thought from their descriptions. Again, when we had questions, Southern Belle got back to us and addressed anything quickly. We would stay here again.
It was a short get away to catch up with a dear friend.
We both enjoyed the stay. It would have been nice if we could have used the front door. Because of the iron gate we couldn't get in,so we I had to use the back door.
We also enjoyed the close walk to the park, and grocery store.
The Good:
The location is relatively close to just about anywhere in Savannah. The rental company sent multiple emails about expectations and policies regarding my stay. I felt comfortable with the contactless check-in process. The unit was thoroughly cleaned prior to our stay, which was a relief since we are still in a pandemic. The unit was budget-friendly compared to the hotel chain I usually book with.
The Bad:
A Change of Place is not a quiet place. Apparently, this location was completely renovated several years ago. Unfortunately, the floors separating the main level unit from the garden level unit were not insulated adequately. Our neighbors woke us up at 1:00am on our first night and that was AFTER Lydia reached out to them earlier that evening when we first complained about the noise levels. The next group of renters that arrived the following day were also loud at various times. They were yelling across the room to one another and intentionally stomping. I felt like we were in the Geico clogging commercial. I didn't bother to complain again because it hadn't really helped the last time. Not because Southern Belle wouldn't have reached out to them, but simply because people these days are just inconsiderate of others. The bedroom window is a single pane of glass and is located next to a busy street that is also used frequently by the nearby fire station.
The power went out on our first night. I let Georgia know the following day that the cable was not working. She said she would see about getting it cut back on, but it still wasn't on when we checked out 3 days later. It wasn't the end of the world, but it rained a lot during our stay so we spent more time in the rental and it would've been nice to be able to watch tv.
Parking can be a pain. You are designated one parking space on a patch of dirt. I tracked dirt and mud in my car and in the kitchen. Also, I had to squeeze my compact car between the other renter's SUV and property trash bins. I was constantly afraid I was going to hit one or the other every time I went somewhere.
None of these complaints are Southern Belle's fault, but things did occur during my stay that lessened my experience. While I would consider using Southern Belle again, I would not stay at this particular location unless the owner's of the property paved/gravelled the parking area and worked on dampening noise levels.
The Good--The apartment was beautifully decorated. Just the right size for me and my daughter. The bed was so comfortable. Some mornings, I didn't want to get out of the bed.
The Bad--The upstairs residents were so loud. It was like they were stomping on the floor or throwing things on the floor to make loud noises. Some nights, the noise lasted until midnight. The cable and internet were out during my entire stay. Customer service was horrible. No return calls to my voice messages, emails, or text messages. When I was able to speak to someone, they basically stated that the internet issue wasn't the rental company's fault and did not attempt to offer any resolution. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service.
