The Space:
This home was built at the turn of the century and combined the popular federal design with aspects of antebellum and colonial styles. Beautifully kept through the years, the home still features original wood flooring, an original fireplace, and original hand-crafted crown modeling. Built on the grounds of the original Trusteesâ Garden, this historic area of Savannah has played a significant role in Savannahâs history. First as an experimental garden, then as various military forts and Ironworks, and now as an incredible combination of beautiful venues. You are genuinely staying atop Savannahâs history with a stay at The Cottage.
Embark on your stay by entering the cottage through a private entrance nestled in a garden space filled with greenery and brick-laying paths.
Directly inside, step into the dining and kitchen space. In the dining area is a table set for four, accented by abundant natural light from surrounding windows. Take the short hallway to the galley kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, custom oak cabinets, and everything you need to cook. Pots, pans, kitchen utensils, dishware, and small appliances ensure the kitchen is ready for a short or extended stay.
Walk along the original hardwood floors to the living room featuring high ceilings, oversized windows, a large love seat, and reading chairs. Custom features are everywhere, including a crystal chandelier, crown modeling, and original fireplaces.
From the living room, enter the main ensuite through double French doors. The suite incorporates style and comfort, featuring a new queen mattress with comfortable linens to guarantee a restful stay. Off the suite is The Cottageâs single bathroom. Find a pedestal sink, shower/tub combination, and all the essentials, including toilet paper, towels, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer.

Stayed here for a long weekend with my husband. Great location as we could walk to everything but in a quiet residential area. The house is beautiful and fit all of our needs. We would stay here again. I had been worried about parking after reading so many posts but we had no problem. Using the Savannah parking app was very easy. Highly recommend staying here.
What a beautiful property! Very clean and inviting. It had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Chase was very helpful and contacted us to check if we were comfortable. The home is in a great neighborhood and lovely to walk around to sit at the nearby parks. I highly recommend staying there!Donna & Steve B
We had a great stay. It was a perfect location for catching the ferry to the convention center. Short walk to River Street, and there were nice restaurants a couple blocks up. It was very convenient being next to the pirate house and the trolley stop.
Great little cottage near everything. Exceptionally clean, fully stocked and well equipped. Could not have asked for anything different, and that says a lot for a 6 night stay! Communication was great and they even checked in on us, via email, a couple of times to see if we needed anything Will be back.
Perfect size for a couple or a couple with a younger child. It can be difficult to find a property for our small family of 3 but this one fit the bill. We all loved the coziness and adorable decorations. The location made a perfect base camp for exploring Savannah and day trips to Tybee.
The owners do a great job of stocking amenities/supplies - Iâve rented many other vacation properties and feel like Iâm given the bare minimum regarding toilet paper/trash bags/dish soap. The owners also provided 3 umbrellas which came in super handy during my week of pop of thunderstorms!
Itâs been about 15 years since Iâve been in Savannah and I had some anxiety around the parking situation - turns out it was super easy! Download the app and pay $1/hr between 8-8. Several parking spots were always available right in front of the house.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
