They did not have a room with a queen sized bed that I had reserved. When the owners were called to address the situation, they became indignant to the point of being unwelcoming - a very curious position given that they are hosts and were in the wrong in this case! By the time they had apologized, I had decided to move to another location.

Superb service

Incredibly friendly welcome and superb service throughout. Highly recommended. I'd suggest to make sure you pre-arrange a taxi if coming via Mayrhofen train station, since taxis are not easy to find in the village, and there didn't seem to be an obvious public transport option to get to Finkenberg.

Close to mountain lifts

Nice location with easy access to surrounding area (hiking, mountains, skiing etc). It is approximately a 10 minute walk up a gentle hill to reach the ski lifts (maybe too far when in ski gear!), but there is a regular bus service. Service, hotel and rooms were all good. The car park (I only saw an outdoor car park) is a bit small so I suspect it can sometimes be tough to park.

Zcela nadstandardní přístup, velmi čistý a útulný hotel, výborná snídaně, na lyže skvělé, ca. 15min.jízdy autem od ledovce. Dost velká sauna, čisté a zrenovované pokoje, o které je stále pečováno. Nebyl problém zajištění ani stravy pro "bezlepkáře". Skvělá 3hvězda!

Great hotel a must stay

It's a little small hotel but the service was great. I stayed here with my family for one night while touring the alps skiing. Owner/manager was a nice women who loved her guest. She was thrilled to have guests from the states. She takes great pride in her job. We saw her at 9 at night at the front desk. Only to wake up at 7 am for breakfast and for her to be socializing and working the breakfast. But don't think this is a one person run show. Her staff was just as friendly. I felt very comfortable in my room. Very clean compared to most 3 stars. Breakfast was also very simple typical Austrian/Germany breakfast and very fresh! I defiantly felt like I got more value then I paid for. Don't under estimate this place definite 4 star hotel with 5 star one of a kind service.
