Rooms are very dated, smelled horrible, uncomfortable bed and pillows, breakfast didn’t happen because there wasn’t any food left and they didn’t replenish it.

We stayed for 7 days. They only cleaned the room once if you could call that a cleaning. We got fresh towels and trash taken out that was it. We had requested to have it cleaned at least 3 times (when we arrived we found food crumbs in the dresser drawer this was never cleaned) The room had a kitchen area (sink and microwave) but no cleaning supplies or utensils. The coffee pot was full of coffee grounds in the basket. We have stayed there in the past and it was nothing at all like this. We would not recommend this hotel.

West Nebraska Trip

Great trip to Gering! Our stay at Monuments was without incident, which was appreciated after a long day on the road. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a bit spartan but the necessities were met and I enjoyed it very much.

Had to wait several minutes for staff at front desk for check in, staff we dealt with were friendly. Room had a humid/old smoke smell that never went away. The trees around the property are great for shade but unfortunately that meant there were tons of birds and a ridiculous amount of bird feces on walkway around the hotel. Not horrible but would not stay here again.

This hotel needs renovation

Check-in was quick and easy. Hotel is old and outdated, even has popcorn ceilings. Bedsheets, bathroom, carpets, etc are all old and worn out. This hotel needs a SERIOUS renovation. Couldn't figure out how to get the shower to work so my wife and I were stuck taking baths instead. Breakfast was disappointing, mainly because I don't think they had the staffing necessary. Tables weren't being wiped down, food wasn't being replenished, I think they even ran out of silverware at one point. No one was at the front desk when we wanted to check out, so we just left our room keys on the counter and left. Only stayed one night, and I'm glad we didn't need to stay longer than that.

Only gave 1 towel, never sent up new ones. They never touched the trash. I had to take it down finally after asking multiple times and grabbed more towels so my kids and i could all take showers. Desk attendants didnt care what was anyones issues were. Others had mini fridges not working, no towels, rooms not being cleaned. Worst hotel ive stayed in.

Nice little hotel in Gering! Off of a relatively quiet street, and in a convenient location for the softball tournament we were a part of over the weekend. Some of the fixtures and things in the room were outdated, like the A/C unit, the fridge, etc. but overall it did the job! The only real complaint we have is that the A/C units in the rooms need replaced desparately. Several of the other rooms we were a part of, with the team, mentioned that there was squeaking and other sounds coming from them all night and kept us awake. Also, the hotel is pet friendly, so keep that in mind as we had some noisy neighbors with dogs that barked all hours of the night! Would stay here again though, staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the facilities overall were well kept up on!

I liked that it was close to where we needed to be. The property was beautiful and very close to a nice park for my kids. I didn't like that there were no plates, silverware, or bowls at breakfast. When staff was asked for some they just said they were working on it and never brought any out.. the staff kind of seemed annoyed about everything. I will probably choose elsewhere next time.

Overall good nights sleep. Was able to do laundry there for 4 dollars in quarters. 2 for dryer and 2 for washer. Just bring enough quarters if you are doing laundry. Went to the dollar general nearby to buy detergent and get dryer sheets. Quiet stay. Gym equipment could be updated and no elevator so be prepared for that if you cannot do stairs. It wasn’t a problem for us though.
