Streamlined and elegant in its design, this three-bedroom property epitomizes the classic Sea Ranch experience. Offering a main house with a view of the ocean, a sheltered outdoor courtyard, and additional sleeping quarters just across the breezeway, this home will fully immerse you in the beauty of the Northern California Coast.

Enter by way of the courtyard into the main portion of the home, adorned with richly hued natural wood and a wall of picture windows that frame the ocean, the meadow, and the neighboring cypress. To one side of the great room are an airy, modern kitchen and a large dining room table, both with views of the ocean. To the other are a sitting area warmed by a gas fireplace, a streaming-capable flatscreen TV, and a bistro table that's ideal for board games and puzzles in the afternoons. There's even a day bed behind the fireplace where you can read while keeping one eye open for whale spouts on the horizon.

Come home from a walk on the oceanfront Bluff Trail to unwind in the outdoor courtyard, where you can savor the rest of your morning coffee or get the gas grill going for lunch in the ocean air. The rest of the day can be reserved for the outdoor pool, tennis court, and saunas at the nearby Moonraker Recreation Center.

At night, you'll find one ocean view bedroom and an adjacent full bathroom in the main part of the house. The other two bedrooms, a second full bathroom, and the laundry room await just across the courtyard in their own part of the house.

Great stay, minor details to consider
We had a great stay at this home. It is beautiful home with a beautiful view. We did notice a significant amount of dog hair on carpeted areas around the home, although the listing says no pets. It wasn't enough to interrupt our stay with a cleaning while we were there, but we did come home with dog hair on our clothes/belongings. The fireplace is wonderful on cold nights, but the vents might not be working well, so it does leave a smokey smell unless you open the windows to air it out. Overall, a few minor details that could be improved, but we would consider going back to this house. Our kids loved the courtyard and garden, and the view from the back deck is amazing and worth it.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Beautiful view but lacking in cleanliness...
We have been coming to Sea Ranch and renting homes for years. Upon entering this home we noticed there was a stench of mildew in the main house. That's fine, we know homes can sometimes get musty and need to be aired out. Problem solved with opening windows however the stench remained. The biggest problem I had was that I found hair in the beds, on some of the towels, and in dishes that were put in the cabinets. Not the greatest impression. Some of the pillows were stained. It looked as though some of the high use items in the living area are not washed regularly enough. The other HUGE problem - we have small kids so we are very used to having to clean up regularly but there are ZERO cleaning tools available. No dust pan/broom, vacuum, etc. Staying at a home for multiple days you would expect that there are things readily available to clean up after yourself. Part of the wood flooring was coming up in the kitchen and it seems that the solution had been to just use a bunch of scotch tape to tape over it. Luckily, we noticed and stayed clear of it. This house has a great potential but it needs some serious TLC.
