Ideal for families, quiet spot, 4 min walk to beach, village, pubs, restaurants.
Beachcomber Cottage, built around 1900, nestles on a private gated terrace in a quiet, sunny spot with great views of the village. It's just 4 minutes stroll to the beach and 2 minutes from the main street with its good range of local shops, pubs and eateries. It is near to the South West Coastal Footpath and lies on the World Heritage Jurrasic Coastline. The beach is delightful with a range of cafes and deckchairs, rockpools, beach huts and fishing trips. It has fast Wi Fi to keep you connected. Suitable for friends and families getting together.
The cottage sleeps 6, is well equipped, centrally heated and has a lovely sunny garden. It is well located to explore the myriad of local attractions. It has an entrance porch - great for storing beach equipment. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. Downstairs is a kitchen/dining area with convection oven great for baking bread, lavatory and spacious refurbished living area with comfy sofas, large SMART TV and panoramic village views. The private gated garden has patio with table, chairs and catches the sun right into the evening, just 10 yards along the terrace. A perfect spot to sip a glass of wine as the sun sets.
Unfortunately property was not as advertised
The condition it is in is awful
We are told it is being addressed but it should of been sorted months ago
We were also told a professional cleaning company had been in before we arrived, this definitely wasnât the case.
As our stay was over the new year we paid a lot for this run down, tired, dusty property
PROPERTY AND GARDEN IN A VERY DISAPPOINTING STATE.
Unfortunately there were several elements we were unhappy with. The carpet in living room was threadbare and skirting boards throughout the cottage were dirty. We found cobwebs on the ceilings on arrival, which we had to remove with a hoover. Bathroom shower screen and basin had black mould. Bedroom linen was clean. The Kitchen floor was dirty but appliances were ok. We enjoyed the surrounding area and atmosphere in Beer.
We had a wonderful, relaxing week in the beautiful village of Beer. It was everything that we hoped it would be. The cottage was clean, cosy and surprisingly spacious, The location was superb with the beach just minutes away and lots of lovely dog walks on the doorstep, missing it already.

Really cosy, comfy cottage in a great location. Beer is beautiful
The cottage is a lovely cosy base for exploring the local area. We stayed 3 nights & it was very comfortable & in a great location up the hill with everything you need for staying in Beer. Didnât cook, can recommend fish & chips & pizza. If you donât mind a few steps, walk to Seaton, the views are amazing & Sidmouth worth a visit. A must do is a cuppa in the beach cafe at sunset
The cottage was lovely very spacious and had everything you needed. The beach is literally a 4 minute walk and is beautiful as is the village of Beer. Look forward to our next visit.
