Enjoy the best of the Northwest from this classic Seaview bungalow. Fish from nearby ports of Ilwaco and Chinook, hike or bike the Discovery Trail and Cape Disappointment State Park, and fly your kite or dig razor clams on the world-famous Long Beach Peninsula.
There is plenty of off-street parking with room for your boat or RV. A huge fenced-in back yard is perfect for bonfires and barbecues. Two cozy upstairs bedrooms have queen-size memory foam mattresses with adjustable headrests.
Seaview Beach Bungalow is located on a main highway in a residential neighborhood, just a quick drive to the nearby Seaview Beach approach (at 38th Place) or the Bolstad Beach approach in Long Beach. Seaview has some of the oldest homes on the Long Beach Peninsula and it's worth taking a stroll or drive through the nearby streets to view the Victorian and Craftsman-era homes.
There are a few terrific restaurants within walking distance (around 1/2 mile): El Farito serves hearty and fresh Mexican food for breakfast and lunch (try their fresh-squeezed orange juice); 42nd Street Cafe serves brunch and dinner (try their beignets!); and The Depot, which is one of the Peninsula's top-rated restaurants, is open for dinner daily (try one of everything -- but get the char-broiled ribeye with bleu cheese butter). If you're a craft brew fan, stroll up to the North Jetty Brewing tap room and enjoy seasonal brews and light snacks, then take home a growler or six-pack.
The port town of Ilwaco is less than 2 miles from the bungalow, where you can charter a fishing boat, have drinks and bites at Salt Pub or the Waterline Pub, or enjoy the summer Saturday morning market.
The city of Long Beach is a short drive north on 101. Here you will find plenty of eateries, family activities, shopping, bike rentals and access to the beach boardwalk and Discovery Trail.
South on 101 you can reach Cape Disappointment State Park, with hikes to its two famous lighthouses, Beard's Hollow, Waikiki Beach and the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center. You will need a Discovery Pass to park in the state parks, which you can buy at The Dennis Company hardware store in Long Beach.
