Green Valley, Sonoma County Vacation Rental at a Working Winery.
This family vacation house is located in the Green Valley of Sonoma County. The house is on the Ektimo Winery grounds. It offers 2 large master bedrooms, a guest bedroom, and an additional room with a queen bed. There are 3 bathrooms. The main area is an open space with a living room, dining room and kitchen. The bedrooms are located on each side of a long hallway. The house is surrounded by a pond, farm animals, and fields. This rural, quiet setting is ideal for a family vacation, or to explore the Sonoma wine regions. ATTENTION: We have pond construction project outside the house in October 2024. There perhaps some noise outside. We are sorry if this makes inconvenience to you.
Our family enjoyed staying at this working vineyard house. Plenty of room and beds were comfortable. House could use a little updating but nothing was non functional. Our 13 and 9 year old boys loved feeding the goats right next to the property.
Really great stay in the heart of wine country. Hosts were very responsive, property was clean and organized, and Ektimo Winery is just steps from the front door. 5 stars, would stay again in a heartbeat!
Great little (not so little) spot to escape for the weekend or to gather the whole family and friends. The main table made of one large tree was prefect to spread the offering. Probably can fit 20+ around it.
We were a party of six that needed a place close to Santa Rosa for a farm to table dinner. This was a perfect location. Easy for Uber to pickup and return us. The winery tour on the property was excellent. Would definitely consider it again.
Perfect if your goal is to gather 'round an amazing table
This property was perfect for our stay because we had a mini-family reunion and our goal was to sit around the table and visit. For that, it worked well. There is a beautiful raw wood slab table that is enormous and is fun to eat and visit at. That said, there was a huge mud pit outside the kitchen window about which we were not given prior notice. It didn't hamper our stay, but I think future guests should know. The entire house was very clean, but not fancy...not what you would expect for a Sonoma County wine country experience.
Cool location, on a winery, on the bike path, has farm animals right out in the backyard, very spacious house and is beautifully quiet.
Those are the positives. The photos of the outdoor space are very misleading. The grass and weeds were so high we couldn't use it, and the outdoor furniture was rotting. There were random tools, broken bikes, and 4-wheelers sitting outside. We booked this place because we were traveling with kids who love to play outside, and it wasn't really an option.
The house was clean at first glance, but there were lots of bugs/spiders and cobwebs throughout. The house had a smell as if it were just wiped down with a wet rag rather than using any cleaning products. I know this wasn't the most expensive place to rent, but it just could have been better.
This is the second time we've stayed at the Winery rental and we love it. There are four of us attending a sewing retreat nearby and this home is located perfectly, close-by to our retreat conference room.
We love the fully-equipped kitchen as we take turns cooking each night and then sitting in the living room area to relax. There's a walking path near-by that's perfect for a refreshing stroll through the area as well.
A repeat stay should be enough to let you know how much we like the property.
we enjoyed much about the property... the bedrooms, the kitchen, the common areas were mostly good. a minor annoyance was the lack of closets in two of the bedrooms.
the biggest complaint was the strong chemical smells from cleaning products. the living room had a overwhelming fragrance that smelled like it was embedded in the curtains. the laundry room was full of cleaning products and the smell was so overpowering we had to keep the door shut the entire time and even then it leaked out. One family member was unable to stay due to the odors.
Weâve stayed here twice. Itâs a beautiful home inside and charming country feel with farm animals and trails to walk. Wine tasting with Julius at Ektimo was really wonderful. The only reason I didnât give 5 stars overall was due to the crazy price this year compared to last and the first bedroom where I slept, the mattress is on its last legs and needs to be replaced (I slept horriblyđ) we love this property and the surrounding countryside
2 king ensuites were great and hard to find. Everything we needed was there. Liked having goats and lamas next door!
Outdoor area could be better - lawn furniture, flowers, etc
Had a great time at the property with another couple that we travel with frequently. There was plenty of room to spread out in the home and had a kitchen equipped with all we needed. We loved all the animals onsite and say "hello" to them each morning before leaving for our day of tasting. The property seemed so far away in the country, but in actuality it was so close to everything. Loved our stay!!
This house was a good value compared to many houses in the SF / Napa area, but was a bit farther out than we had anticipated. If you're looking for remote, this is a perfect house though!
Pros - Value, size, farm animals outside, pond
Cons - Tall weeds in backyard made area unusable, limited cable options, no privacy curtains in bathroom
We enjoyed the house and the grounds, especially the nature sounds at night coming from the pond. The house is spacious and clean. The wine tasting at Ektimo was fun and we brought a couple of bottles home with us. Would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay! The property was beautiful and charming, surrounded by fields and home to a few farm animals (no noise issues though). Another great amenity is that it's right off a biking/walking trail that traverses Sonoma County. We enjoyed using the trail for exercise and to walk to a few nearby wineries. The home was comfortable & beautifully furnished, equipped for basic cooking. A note: the wifi can be a bit finicky in different rooms, but 3 of us were able to use the wifi to work remotely at the same time. We gladly accepted a free wine tasting at Ektimo Winery, where the home is located, and really enjoyed the wine and chatting with the winery manager!
The pictures of this home does not do it justice! This place is exceptional. Large rooms and just laid out and decorated very well. Jerry was nice enough to allow me to give my daughter a baby shower there and there was plenty of parking as well as plenty of seating inside. I will definitely rent agin next time I am in need of a place in Sonoma wine country.
Four of us attended a weekend retreat in Sebastopol and this house served as our base for the 4 days we were there. We each had our own rooms with only two of us having to share a bathroom which makes it easy. The best feature was the ginormous table next to the kitchen where we made shared our meals - really nice. The area is quiet and adjacent to a great walking trail. Great house and location.
