The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Check in is at 4pm which would have been fine however the hotel is completely closed before 4pm so we were left waiting around the town for a long time before we could get in to leave our luggage. The town itself was also mostly closed so it was difficult to find somewhere to wait for the hours until 4pm came (we had an early 9am flight so we wasted most of the day waiting to leave luggage) The bus comes once an hour The travel from Selestat train station to the hotel is only 10 minutes by car however none of the taxis we called wanted to do the journey and the bus times to Chatenois is far and few between and last busses are very early

Wonderful, small family hotel.

This small hotel is in the middle of a very old town, an old building with beautiful features. It seems to be run by a very friendly and welcoming family who are keen to look after you extremely well. It has no 24/7 reception, so realise that you can not drop your bag off before 4pm, as the hotel is shut up before then (my bad). Quaint restaurant, with hearty, fresh food, great local wine and friendly service. Lovely dessert. Highly recommended.

Nice, hidden gem!

The hotel is simple, very clean and comfortable. The room was small but perfect for my one night stay. It's situated on the main road through town but was peaceful. I chose to have breakfast which was fresh, with a baguette, croissant, ham, cheese, yoghurt and coffee. The owner and team are friendly and helpful. I also ate in the restaurant, the food was excellent!

LOVE this wonderful hotel.

I have stayed here twice and LOVE this beautiful hotel. Very traditional building with all the modern convenience - AC, updated room/bathroom. Good wifi. Super clean. Friendly staff. Restaurant serving wonderful local dishes. Wonderful breakfast. Easy free parking a few steps from the building. Safe and quiet. Very short drive to nearby popular destinations. The town itself is very charming. LOVE this place and will return whenever I'm in the area.

Quaint town and hotel but the room was small and basic with no air conditioning. Lots of traffic noise as the hotel is right in the town center.

Quaint and central

Fun and eccentric little attic place that was very roomy! Air conditioning was welcome after being in the heat outside. They provided a place to store our bikes, which was great! Good value for the money - would stay again!

Hôtel typique alsacien, accueil et services parfait, très bon restaurant et petit déjeuner. Chambre ultra-propre avec des volets roulants et climatisation. Seul bémol le lit un peu petit et l’insonorisation limite, sinon excellent séjour !

Altid venlig betjening ( vi er på hotellet hvert år ) Meget rent - rart med AC på værelset Maden er lokal og smager frisklavet En lille rar og “søvnig” by - uden for mange turister
