This cabin had a lot of good features. We loved the game room and the hot tub. However, several things are in need of repair/updating. It could be a great property with a little TLC.
Lets start with all the detailed information and pictures they wanted at the last minute before check-in. I felt like I was being investigated for a security clearance. Then not even an ID was asked for when we arrived at the security gate. Kitchen: Eating utensils lacked only 5 forks total, and rest were hit and miss. Sharp knives for cutting any food were either falling apart, or bent up and not usable. Cook ware was not usable, and cooking utensils were gummy sticky. Again not usable. Bought what we needed for our stay, and kept them, but that was an added expense. There are giant black ants in the house (not too unexpected you are in the woods/mountains). All of the outdoor furniture was VERY VERY dirty Not welcoming or usable (no "charm" for sure). Had to repair the grill in order to use that and get rid of the yellow jacket nest. Poison Ivy is growing up in the steps getting in and out the front door. Floors were clean and towels and sheets seemed clean. The air hockey table is loose and wobbly (not safe)! Overall, the place is not being well maintained as a rental unit for the amount they are charging. We did get to see a black bear roaming, because the people across from us left a bunch of stuff on their porch, so the bear was a bit curious.
