Great place to stay. Activites in town are just a couple miles away
Great Place to stay. Cabin is very nice.Loved the clawfoot tub. Will definitely stay here again. We rode 4 wheelers throughout the property and stopped for a break on a nice mountain top view.
Check in process is easy
We liked the location, as in, it was peaceful and quiet but, the only down fall is the double wide trailer right in front of our cabin definitely kind of ruins the view youâre hoping to enjoy of the mountains. Also, it was very clean and farmhouse modern on the inside.. the only thing I didnât like was the pillows on the bed has a few stains on the cases (which told me they didnât clean them) but thankfully Iâm weird about pillows at places anyways so we brought our own! Other than that, it was nice. We loved the bathroom and style in the inside! Perfect size for two people! We went horseback riding at the Ranch and that was a blast as well! Also, thankfully my bf thought to bring our own firewood from home for the fire pit (which was amazing) but if you donât bring your own wood, you gotta pay for wood after already spending money to stay there, which was kind of disappointing. Other than those notes, we did enjoy our stay very much!
My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary. It's very convenient. I loved that we didn't have to fight traffic at anytime. I loved the check in process but I wished I would've gotten to meet the owners. Place is cozy especially the comfy bed, pillows and comforter. All cabins have a nice view, but the one we stayed in had trees and a abandoned trailer blocking some of our view ( nothing that the owners can do about this though) the road getting to the cabins was a little ruff especially if you have a low car. The cabin was pretty clean however someone's bottle cokes was still in the fridge, a couple of hairs in the bathtub, and when we first got there my husband goes to the bathroom raises the toilet seat and the underside of it hasn't been cleaned. We had issues with our room being cold and contacted the owners who was quick to respond and get it taken care of. All in all though I was very pleased and will definitely stay again.
This was a great place to stay. I would recommend it to others. Off the beaten path but still very close to attractions. Enjoyed watching the horses on the property.
Loved the location. Only problem I had with it was the towels were crappy and you only get 3 they did not bring fresh towels around. So you need to bring fresh towels. In front of our cabin there was trailer that need to removed or something done to it. If you look past that it was beautiful. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend it.
So first let me say that this property and location were perfect. It was far enough outside Pigeon Forge to avoid the crowds, but close enough that everything we needed was within 20 minutes. The cabin was beautiful, well maintained, and simple and the property was clean and felt safe. I was able to easily reach the owners when needed, and everything in the pictures was just the same as inside.
That said, I'm giving 4 stars for a few key reasons.
First, while the tub is lovely, it's the first thing you see when you walk in. There's no privacy at all and it's set in the living area. I never would have used it given the awkward location, and judging by the looks of the drain, I'd be shocked if it's been used much at all by previous guests. That area would be much better served with a small love seat, kitchenette, or even just a space with a microwave. It was very out of place and not where I would choose to relax in a bath.
Second, while the shower is huge and very relaxing, there isn't any kind of bench or niche inside for a woman to shave her legs. It seems trivial, but being on vacation with my partner made shaving a daily necessity and not having a way to prop my leg up was frustrating. I know there are other women that feel this way when they shower.
Third, while they may be some folks preference, the hotel style pillows are definitely not mine. They look fluffy but instantly smash down to nothing, and the comforter on the bed had a quilted design that made it very scratchy. It was also on the other pillows on the bed and made sleeping a bit difficult.
Finally, on our final day we intended to sleep in since we had a 4œ hour drive home and check out wasn't until 11. Instead we woke up to the sound of voices and construction work outside our window. The owners were having a fire pit installed and decided against informing us that our last morning would be spent with workers right outside our door. We were pretty uncomfortable and wound up leaving 2 hours earlier than intended bc of the intrusion.
Overall, our trip was lovely and if you're looking for a place with privacy that's off the beaten path, I would recommend this location for you and your partner. But these few complaints made 5 stars a bit out of reach for me.
