Good location / Uninspiring but functional apartment
Our stay was fine. The place did not have much character - very bare bones. Felt a little like a cave. Not a "bell" or a "whistle" to speak of. The pool was a glorified bathtub, and not particularly well cared for. We had to pay extra to have our 4-year-old stay there, which wasn't a big deal but a little annoying given the place.
I will say it is in a great location, it is functional, so it has all the basics. It is essentially a crash pad. If that is all you need or want, really it would be a good spot for you.
If you'd like a more "homey" feel, or want a little more comfort and warmth when you are taking a break from visiting the city, I'd look elsewhere.
The location of this apartment was fantastic and cannot be beaten. It is right in the heart of Seville and walking distance from literally anything you'd want to see.
The apartment itself is similar to the pictures listed. Some slight changes in furniture. The apartment was also clean.
The check-in process was not smooth. We called and texted the host from the airport, from the taxi and from the front door of the apartment. We sent messages via Home Away that were not answered. Finally, we were able to get through and were told that it would be another hour. It was 9pm when we were able to check into our room.
The lady that checked us in was rushed and said that this was not her job, she was covering for her brother. She did not make any attempt to make us feel welcome or explain anything about the property or location. The check in process has us feeling like a complete afterthought and a bother.
The bed was very firm and I found it very uncomfortable. There is an air conditioner over the head of the bed that dripped water onto our heads as we slept at night.
The room had some issues with water drainage in the shower. We reported this immediately and our message went unanswered until over 24 hours later when we were told a plumber would be out after we left. We had to bathe in 3-4 inches of backed up water in the shower each night. We ended up wearing flip flops in the shower, which still weren't high enough for the amount of water backed up.
For our check-out, the same lady showed up and was on time, so we were able to get to the airport on time.
The location could not be beaten. The apartment was clean. Unfortunately, the hosts weren't as responsive as we would have liked as these issues could have been resolved pretty easily.
