Light, history and a large private terrace in the monumental heart of Seville



At Home at Homes we seek extraordinary places that combine the charm of the past with contemporary comfort. This is how we came across Casa Palacio San José, a majestic 17th-century residence, restored with exquisite rigour by Rafael Manzano, architect responsible for interventions in the Royal Alcåzares and the Alfonso XIII Hotel. The result: a palatial house that preserves its baroque soul and offers all current comforts.



San José III is one of the five apartments in the complex, a bright home designed for four guests, affectionately known as The House of the Daughter of the Giralda, in honour of Bårbara de Santo Domingo, a Dominican nun born here in the 19th century.



The building



Access via San José Street 7 leads to the imposing hallway with a large wrought-iron gate, to the first courtyard and an open hall that gives way to the main porticoed courtyard, with Roman marble columns, fountains and lush terraces with pergolas.



Inside, an authentic exhibition of artisan crafts: classic ceramics, noble carpentry, coffered ceilings and plaster mouldings that envelop each room in a unique atmosphere.



The apartment (115 mÂČ private terrace of 55 mÂČ)



Located on the second floor, it preserves the most valuable attributes of the palace: luminosity, generous proportions and noble materials.

From the main entrance, the guest is received by a spacious and light-filled dining room, visually connected to the first courtyard and its Roman fountain. The living area features a sofa, armchairs, and TV; the dining area has a table and chairs for four.



The large private terrace, an authentic jewel of the apartment, invites you to have breakfast outdoors, sunbathe or enjoy the sunset among ceramic fountains and views of the convent rooftops. It is equipped with a table, chairs and loungers.



The independent kitchen, fully equipped, and a courtesy toilet complete the social area.

Through a small distributor, access is gained to the two bedrooms, spacious and tranquil:



Master bedroom: 180×200 cm bed (convertible into two beds), built-in wardrobes and full en-suite bathroom.

Bedroom 2: two single beds of 90×190 cm, spacious wardrobes and en-suite bathroom.



The terraces of the Palace



On the third floor is the spectacular set of garden terraces and solarium of the palace: an elevated garden with a rain shower and unforgettable views of the Jewish Quarter. On this floor, the common laundry room is also located, with a washing machine, dryer, and individual clotheslines.

Just 5 minutes from the Cathedral and the Giralda, next to the Madre de Dios convent and steps away from the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, Casa Palacio San José offers a privileged immersion in historic, cultural, and gastronomic Seville.



The property houses five independent apartments (San José I, II, III, IV and V), with a total capacity for 22 guests. There is the possibility of booking several or even the entire complex for groups.

Seville paradise

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely palatial apartment. We were met at the property upon our arrival and given keys and information maps. The apartment was spacious and the private patio with dreamy bougainvillea was great in the mornings and after sunset to enjoy a glass of wine and look at the stars. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms and kitchen had everything we needed, and the AC was great. We would love to stay here again. Thank you for making our trip to Seville a favorite!

Beautiful family apartment in the heart of Seville

My family of 4, including twin 8 year old girls, loved staying at this apartment. The property is beautiful, and the location is so convenient. We were within walking distance of the Alcazar and tons of shops and restaurants. My kids loved the private roof top terrace, and the parents loved the nicely equipped kitchen, air conditioning (!!!), and modern bathrooms with plenty of hot water and tubs to easily bathe the kids. The building has a small elevator which is great for the luggage, and beautiful common areas including a courtyard. We loved our stay and highly recommend this property!

Wir haben uns super wohl gefĂŒhlt. Perfekte Lage der Unterkunft zur Erkundung der Altstadt zu Fuß. Sehr sauber, tolle Terrasse, wunderschöner, kĂŒhler Patio mit Brunnen. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Mitarbeiterinnen der Vermietungsagentur "Home at Homes" waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - sie sprechen sehr gutes Englisch. Die Abholung und RĂŒckfahrt zum Flughafen mit "Welcome Pickups" hat sehr gut geklappt. Vielen Dank fĂŒr den tollen, unvergessluchen Urlaub in Sevilla.

Generally a nicely laid-out apartment for up to 4 people in a great location. The onsite staff (cleaning and maintenance (Javier)) were very attentive. A couple considerations for ownership would be to freshen up some of the upholstered furniture that is a bit worn in appearance and although adequate, to provide more extensive supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Close to everything!

This was a beautiful residence and so close to everything. Aside from being so close to all of the sight seeing attractions, we were within a 5 minute walk of a very nice grocery store, bakery, a multitude of great restaurants and shopping. Also, the rooftop patios were great for appetizers and cocktails every evening! I highly recommend staying in San Bartolome!

It's exactly as nice as the pictures make it look.

We were four adults (two couples). The location was amazing - a short walk to the center of town and tons of attractions including the Alcazar and the main Cathedral. The location was quiet and felt very secure. The washer/dryer were not in the unit but easy to access and we had no trouble getting in our turn. Check in was in person (a rarity!) and communication with the team (via What's App) was easy and they were very responsive. The balcony was enormous and a real treat, we enjoyed it immensely. Highly recommend!

Delightful!

This was a most enjoyable place to experience Lisbon! Incredible location, beautiful apartment

This is one of those places that you tell your friends and family about when you return. It’s a former palace-home in the old district with tiny, winding streets and history everywhere. The apartment was lovely, the A/C robust (really important), the balconies evocative, and the living quarters comfortable and decorated to reflect an old world elegance. But the best part was how close the property is to everything — the royal palace and cathedral, the river, and cafes and bars. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic stay in Seville

Our group of three, grandparents and 18 year old grandson, loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. Communication with the host was easy. Wonderful location with many restaurants near by. Easy walk to the Cathedral. The apartment was very clean, lovely terrace and comfortable beds. Really a perfect place to stay in Seville. Easy to get Uber or taxi. It was very hot while we were there but we were cool and refreshed by the excellent AC. Highly recommend!!!

Family oasis

We stayed for a week at the end of March in to early April. The apartment with a full kitchen and private terrace suited us well, as we still cook and eat in often, which you need to if you're staying for a week, so it was home-from-home for us. The reserved parking spot (on request) at the local parking was a bonus, though not included at €30pd. We'd stay there again.
