WARNING - stay away from this property until they fix SEWAGE problems. I booked my stay with Welldone Sierpes for four nights. I was put in room 306. On night 1, I there was a really foul strong sewer smell from the bathroom area, which is open to the whole room. I could not sleep at all and was experiencing dizziness, nausea, and cough. The following day, I told reception and they said they’d fix it. When I returned to my room, the smell had improved but I later saw they had only added a plug-in air freshener and opened the window. That 2nd night, the same sewage gas returned and I had the same problems as the first - no sleep, nausea, dizziness, cough, etc.
Because no one is at reception at night, I called the WhatsApp number to complain. At around 2AM, the night shift person came and agreed that the smell was foul. They moved me to a room next door but said I had to return to my old room by 11am that morning. I was so tired I fell asleep not noticing whether the room also smelled.
The third day, they offered to move me to a upgrade me to room 207. But the same sewage smell was also in this room and was actually much stronger than the first. Management offered to cancel the last 2 nights of my 4-night stay and “refund” me the money for those 2 nights only. Eventually they refunded me the full stay. But please stay away from this hotel until they fix the sewer and pipes! Exposure to sewage fumes is very dangerous as sewage gas is poisonous and has neurotoxic affects!!
