Andaz is my favorite luxury hotel in Shanghai. The service and the staff are for sure the most attentive, kind and warming personal I have found and I have stayed in almost every hotel Is clean and modern, and feels warm and has this comfor feeling among the whole building However the standard rooms are a bit too compacted I would highly recommend suits and duplex (specially in the corners) for a complete and unforgettable experience Everything is really good, if I had to be critical about something I would go for the breakfast time, they require sit you in a table and the space is not very well distributed and if someone is beside you is a bit uncomfortable specially if you need have a conversation or a phone call

I had pre-paid so they did not have a deposit to hold for incidental purchases. They did not want us to leave our card and asked us to pay for everything as we completed it. Sent out for laundry and it never came back. Had to call the desk to search for it, and was told that since we did not have a deposit we had to pay first before receiving our laundry. There was no message sent to us regarding the fact they were holding our laundry. We had to go and find it. Same ordeal when buying breakfast/drinks etc.. it was not a normal Shanghai hotel experience.

Incredible experience

Got the top hotel room. Best service ever, specially the staff in reception and the staff in the bar. Truly impressed. Kind, servicial and Proffesional. There is a robot that delivers stuff to your door and calls you by phone to open the door! The only little thing was that the hotel staff that is standing in the door doesn’t say hello back or watch at you when passing which was a bit odd every time I joined and I said hello, perhaps a cultural difference Anyway everyone else and everything else was incredible and I’ll come back every time I visit Shanghai
