I think this was mean for couples to go and get it on or one night stands aka love hotel. Not for business travel. I thought the themed room was hilarious so I booked it.
YES is a very interesting place, and kinda fun for 1 night. I was traveling alone and am fairly adventurous so I enjoyed it. Other people might think it’s a tad creepy. It’s on the 4th floor of a strip mall type of building. Not much around as far as restaurants or attractions, but the subway is fairly close. The walls seem super thin as I could her the tv next door, and they are very strict on the 12pm check out. I had to negotiate to get a 12:30. It was worth the price for the experience.

Awkward but ok
Alright for the price. Good value
Partner was a bit uncomfortable with the larger than liege sized mural of the pole dancer And the toilet in the middle of the room. No wall or even a curtain would be fine
Suitable for budget travellers but do not expect high quality living environment.
Very close to MTR station and you can go the any place conveniently as the hotel is located at the city centre.
The entrance is quite dark and dis-repaired, while the decoration of the hotel is quite new.
The room has no windows and insufficient lighting. The cleanliness is just acceptable.
Every morning there was construction noise so you cannot sleep well, it could be an alarm to wake you up and start your journey in the early morning.
There are some local restaurants nearby (3-10-minute walking distance).
It was a 2 star at best. If you don't speak Mandarin, you better have a cell phone to translate. You will need the address or your map app open because the taxi driver will not know the hotel. Normally, I would take the metro from the airport, but our flight arrived after the last train left.
The hotel did not accept US credit cards, so I had to pay cash. Fortunately, there was a bank next door to take out cash.
Having the metro on the corner made it super easy to get around.
The rooms were pretty well kept. The building and the entrance were a bit in disrepair.
The open bathroom might be uncomfortable if you shared a room.
The WiFi was okay for emails, but was not good for surfing.
The office staff was very nice and I appreciate their efforts to communicate with me.

Not the very best but not bad indeed
On a shoe string budget so I thought why not grab this quirky place. Took pictures of it and posted online. The results were incredible. Everyone tells me its a love hotel - I didn't realise it. haha.
It's definitely not that sleazy type. The receptionist knew no English but you know how great mobile apps are and that was how we communicated. Top notch service I kid you not. The effort was commendable, they could've just stayed silent to me if they wanted.
It is very near to the subway (entrance). Literally less than 2 mins you will be on your way down to the subway gantry that takes you anywhere. If you are like me, you could walk your way to many places nearby.
To add, Halal food was surprisingly available quite nearby. Area at the back of the hotel, there are around 3 Halal stalls you can grab your meals. Just need to open up your eyes and look for the Arabic words.
Don't expect the best hence I took this hotel. Overall with the price, I think it was a good stay for that whole 4D3N in Shanghai.

Good staff but renovation noise kept waking us up
This hotel is a bit unusual in that it's themed. Each room is specially designed to look like a familiar Asian cartoon (e.g., HelloKitty) or fantasy. The rooms are generally clean and spacious, though a bit dark and for some reason they like having music come on every time to click your hotel card in. Staff was nice and reasonable with most requests.
The big downside was the neighboring businesses were renovating and didn't care what time it was when they started hammering and drilling. Apparently they thought starting at 7AM was reasonable. We complained to hotel staff about that and they said they couldn't do anything and at most would help us switch a room. The problem is the noise is from the floor below (YES is on the 4th floor) and I'm pretty sure most of the hotel heard the noise. I wouldn't stay here again just because they can't control their environment and ensure a good night's sleep.

Chose this hotel as an affordable place with good public transport connection and close to central Puxi areas. Rooms appear to vary greatly in style/size, some are window-less. This Hotel is clearly intended for couples, not suitable for business of family.
