Welcome to Hot Tub Hideaway! We are very enthusiastic hosts and are here to make your stay the best we can. The home is located in the South-West end of Shawnigan lake on a dead-end road, just a few minutes' walk to the public block dock. The property is peaceful and surrounded by cedar trees for privacy. The block has neighbours but they keep to themselves and are very pet friendly. The main house is shared with a family upstairs.
The location is great for walking, hiking and biking trails (Kinsol trestle), quad and motor bike trails, swimming at our block dock, visiting local beach’s on the lake, and renting lake toys. 10 minutes to Shawnigan Village which has Black Swan pub and liquor store, Jen’s Sushi, Masons corner store, Oma’s bakery, ice cream, coffee shop, rec centre, and museum. 15 minutes to Millbay for groceries, liquor, sushi, shops, and wineries. 30 minutes to beautiful Victoria which has a amazing harbour, downtown shops, restaurants, and ocean walkway.
You will enter the private suite through a gate on left side of main house. On the covered patio you will find a bbq, bistro set, picnic table and enclosed hot tub. The suite is newly renovated and has a entrance closet, large bedroom with spacious closet, nice size bathroom with heated tiles, kitchenette has dual induction hot plate, air-fryer/oven, Insta pot, and coffee/tea bar. Living room has a pullout sleeper sofa, extra blankets/pillows, TV with Roku, and dining for four. If you have a special request just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you.
You will be so comfortable in our suite nestled in the cedars.

Sweet Mountain Suite
It was an amazing birthday weekend for my wife. Not only was homie but definitely a true 4 star suite. From the deep sunken bathtub to the thermostat temperature controlled bathroom floor. The fully equipped kitchen and bbq allowed me to make 2 racks of ginger honey ribs with sauteed vegetables, after a day of cruising the lake I made Spaghetti and Meatballs with garlic bread in the air fryer. Superb setting with a picnic table in front. The highlight was the hot tub, it was quite relaxing, peaceful, massaging with the forest fresh air adding to the ambience. I definitely recommend a visit while you can! Thank you Duane and Maria

A perfect getaway!
This property is exactly as advertised! A cute little getaway with more than enough space for the two of us, my husband and I had a wonderful vacation. The owners are quick to respond to questions, very helpful with local information, and had everything so tidy and perfectly set up! The hot tub is tucked away in a private location, and the soaker tub and shower are amazing! This is definitely a place we plan on visiting again!

Modern and cozy
We loved our stay at the hot tub hideaway. Everything was clean, comfortable and absolute gorgeous. Hubby and I stayed with our 20 year old daughter. She slept on the comfortable sleeper couch in the living room while we had the beautiful bedroom to ourselves. The kitchen had more than what we needed for our 4 night stay. We cooked two nights (using the outside grill one night). The hot tub was a great way to relax after our many hikes and sightseeing everyday. We did spend one day on the beach ( they even provided us with beach chairs that came in very handy). From the fresh flowers and the candy and chips on arrival, there was absolutely nothing amiss.

We had such a nice stay. The rental was beautiful and private. Better than described, super cozy, and had more amenities than we needed. The hot tub and community dock were very relaxing, as was the surrounding area. We would love to come back and stay with Maria and Dwayne again.

Excellent hidden gem!
Great little getaway, nestled in the forest around Shawnigan Lake. The suite had everything that we required and then some. The area was very quiet yet relatively close to most amenities. We unfortunately didn’t get an opportunity to use the cooking facilities or the hot tub, as we were too busy elsewhere. The property was tastefully decorated and super clean! There was plenty of towels and linens provided, the bed was very comfortable and the sofa sleeper was not too bad either. The property owners were very polite and professional! Thanks so much for the hospitality, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying here again in the future…SO much better than staying at a hotel IMHO.
