Just a short walk to the Shelter Cove airstrip, public golf course, restaurants, pizza parlor, coffee shop, beaches, tide pools and art galleries.

The kitchen is equipped with a Sub-Zero fridge, high end appliances and thoughtfully stocked with everything that you will need to make delicious, home cooked meals.

Every room in the house is designed to take full advantage of unobstructed Lost Coast views. Natural light, ocean breezes and vaulted wood beamed ceilings make the 3rd floor open concept living area a delight. Play a game of pool, relax on the couch, turn on the gas fireplace, enjoy a family meal at the large dining table, or serve cocktails on the oceanside deck.

The master bedroom suite features a steam shower, gas fireplace, king Tempuerpedic bed with high thread count linens and down comforter. Each queen room is furnished with plush, organic mattresses, down comforters and luxurious crisp, white linens.

After a day of beach combing, hiking or exploring tide pools, relax in the hot tub on the 2nd story deck, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Work remotely at Ocean Break's home office space, equipped with comfortable desk chair, Starlink internet, scanner/ printer and office supplies.

Loved this place!

There were so many things to love about this house and we can’t wait to stay here again! *Host was an excellent communicator, helpful and always prompt with answering questions.*House was very clean & welcoming and looked just like the pictures (better in person, actually). I LOVED how the top floor had so many windows for natural light and views of both the mountains & the ocean. *Very spacious with comfortable furniture throughout. The various balconies/patios also offered excellent views both during the day and at night.*Loved the master bedroom & bathroom! So spacious with an awesome shower that had two separate shower heads. *Really appreciated the filtered water dispenser in the kitchen and the ability to open a window right by the stove. *I completely forgot to take pictures of things inside, but I would 100% recommend staying here.

Absolutely Amazing!

This was a great place right on the ocean! So comfortable and beautiful amenities. Kitchen was well equipped and very modern. The views from every window were amazing. The beds were very comfortable as well. The hot tub was ocean front and fit all six of us comfortably.There are three flights of stairs to get to the kitchen, we didn't have an issue with that, but renters should be aware of that.I would stay there again in a heartbeat! The hosts were incredibly helpful and prompt to respond, thank you!!

Shelter Cove Shangri-La

The stay at the oceanfront home in Shelter Cove exceeded all expectations. The house is perfect in its location next to the sea and in its window-filled layout. I was fortunate enough to get some delightfully pleasant spring weather mixed in with a powerful spring storm. It was two very different worlds, but the house excelled in both.Renting the house for a week was a splurge for my solo Spring Break excursion, but I feel it was worth every penny. Just wonderful all around. Thanks!

Thrilling oceanfront home

My parents and partner loved staying in this well-appointed home. The bedrooms are all a great size, especially the primary bedroom, which has an enormous en suite bath, including steam shower! We loved the hot tub with ocean view and the cozy living area that can accommodate 10-12 people for dinners. We got non-stop views of crashing waves with up to 60 foot splashes, so much fun. The home does have lots of stairs and the living area is in the third floor, so something to consider for elderly guests.

Amazing!

My husband and I stayed at the property Nov 2024. The home and location are even better than could be portrayed in a listing. We have 10-15 year told kids and they would have loved it as well. The views from every side of the home are great, the hot tub was clean and ready to be used, and the home was just so comfortable! We would recommend 100% and can’t wait to go back one day!

2nd stay in this home as wonderful as the first!

This was my second stay at this beautiful Shelter Cove home in the same year, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The house itself is spacious and exquisitely decorated, providing ample room to relax and unwind. The highlight was undoubtedly the hot tub, and watching whales at sunset directly from the hot tub! It’s perfect for soothing our muscles after a day of exploring the stunning California coastline. Shelter Cove offered a peaceful and picturesque retreat. We enjoyed breathtaking ocean views, went on scenic hikes, and explored the charming local restaurants. The only minor suggestion we would have is the provision of bathrobes. There were robes for my first stay, but not this one. While not a major issue, it would have added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a tranquil and luxurious getaway in a breathtaking location. I can't wait to return!

Beyond Words!!!! Beyond Magnificent!

Our family of five adults had a wonderful 3-night stay in mid-Oct. We agree 500% with another reviewer that we don't want to give too good of a review so we can keep this place for ourselves ;) The drive to the home can be a lot for those who get carsick - long stretches of windy roads, but that's why there's an airstrip within walking distance! The bedrooms all have multiple big windows with amazing views of the ocean and each floor has it's own balcony/patio. The top floor (family, dining, and kitchen rooms) is basically just glorious windows with an entry to the balcony. We loved cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen w huge fridge and great-working appliances. A forewarning for others - cooking may set off the smoke detectors even with the hood fan running, so open windows beforehand. We had so much fun watching the waves, sunset, sunrise, colors, and moonlight (glorious full moon when we were there). We also got to see Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS shortly after sunset right from the balcony! We walked down to the rocks right off the patio, watching tides go up and down and sea creatures wash up. Wildlife galore - deer and foxes roaming around, sea lions down the street by the lighthouse, birds of all kinds. We walked and explored the Black Sand Beach, had yummy pizza from the recommended restaurant. One of the best features really was the steam shower, and comfortable beds throughout the house. I'm planning a vacation just to come back here after this unbelievably great stay!!

Best place ever!

This beautiful 3 story house is super clean, high quality kitchen amenities, including a keep warm station, and everything you need for cooking. Beautiful bedrooms and very nice bathrooms. The shower in the master bedroom has a steam feature that you can turn on and off. The spa is big enough for 6 people and views the ocean. All windows have fantastic views. The garden leads directly to the tad pools. Everyone liked the big pool table, the garage has a barbecue and washer and dryer. We loved our visit very much and want to come back again!!

Amazing Weekend Getaway

We had an amazing weekend getaway and wished we stayed longer. We arrived on Friday night to a beautiful sunset from all levels of the house. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking and the hosts even left some yummy treats, like snacks, bubbly waters, and some coffee beans. The house was very clean and the views are more beautiful than expected and described. The hot tub off the second floor was very relaxing. And the steam shower in the master bathroom was a great feature. Once we got to the house, we were able to walk everywhere including to the cove and other beaches. We saw a lot of wildlife, including whales, seals, sea lions, various types of birds, a fox and lots of deers.

The perfect relaxing getaway

This was our second time at this property, and it’s every bit as amazing as we’d remembered it. Such a beautiful, relaxing location. Easy access to tide pools, the airstrip, the beach, and everything else in town. The home itself is great — plenty of real estate for sleeping, beds are comfy, and kitchen is well-equipped. Pool table and hot tub were nice touches, and the steam shower was a pleasant surprise. Can’t wait to return!

Abalone shells

Had a terrific time with family at this house. Easy to walk to beach, tide pools, anywhere in town. Nice retreat. Tide pooling revealed alive abalone which is rare in todays world!
