Jula Goviers Cottage Sidmouth

Goviers Cottage is set in the Regency town of Sidmouth just 600 yards from the beach. The two superbly appointed apartments within Goviers Cottage, Ada and Jula, were sympathetically converted in 2022 from the upper floors of the famous Goviers China Shop which closed in 2019 after 105 years of trading. The current owners of the property ran the business for over 35 years.
The space
Being within the heart of the town centre this apartment is just a short level walk to the shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants, award winning public gardens, seafront, theatre and cinema. The Cricket, Bowls, Croquet, Tennis, and Rugby clubs are also within walking distance as is the public swimming pool.

Jula is on the ground floor and is accessible by 5 internal steps to its door. There is a bedroom with a kingsize bed and storage. In the living room, there is a sofa bed which can sleep an additional 2 guests if requested. The bathroom has a low bath with full shower above it. There is a toilet in the main bathroom as well as an additional toilet separate to the bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, oven, electric hobs, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. The living area and kitchen boast two large window seats with views over Sidmouth High Street. There is a large hall with a chair and table, and inside the boiler cupboard there is also a washer/dryer.

The apartments are tastefully furnished with double glazed windows and have full gas central heating, well equipped kitchens and bathrooms, high speed Wi-Fi, and smart flat screen TVs. They are as well suited for winter getaways as they are for your summer vacation.
