Avis pour Casita Sun Star | Pet Friendly Home on Siesta Key, Heated Pool, Walk to Beach & South Village!
Host was wonderful. Instantly responded to any message I sent them. Special shout out to the team they have maintaining the pool. Very attentive keeping a close eye on it regularly without being intrusive or interfering with our enjoyment of the pool. Thank you for setting the stage for a great vacation!
House was very beachy! Perfect location from beach and walkable to restaurants, bars and shops. House has extras like bikes, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and corn hole. Pool is lovely. One downside is noice from main road.Overall loved our stay!
Six adults stayed in this property comfortably. We wanted to get away from winter. Heated pool, two main bedrooms, short walk to beach and all beach accessories. The trolleys and Frog Hops to the Village were free (tips only) and fun. No worries about driving. Hope to visit again!
Plenty of room
Shared property with another fam But mostly private. Corner lot on main drag a draw back for us but we knew going in, still nice and nice pool and parking.
Weâd stay here again. Pet friendly.
Clean mostly except floors needed s good mop.
This was the perfect place in Siesta Key. It's just a short walk to the beach- next to the Point of Rocks, and a short walk to many plazas if you wanted to spend an evening out. The pool area is so nice too, if you want to relax.
The house was very nice with a good layout for a larger family. Larger than it looks with plenty of room. Nice, large grill, great pool area. 3-4 min walk to beach access. Very close to Midnight Pass and stores, restaurants etc. Hosts were excellent, responded quickly to questions and communication.
We had a great time and the location was a short walk from the best beach I have ever been to. The pool was great for the kids and very refreshing. The furnishings were excellent and comfortable. Highly recommended.
So well designed and decorated. The pool was lovely and warm. The staff is nice to work with and responsive. They even dropped off a key lime pie and a sweet note for Thanksgiving. The only drawbacks are that one bedroom shares a wall and a window onto the pool with the other side. So, when kids are up early - so are you! Next to Midnight Pass road. We worried about road noise but that wasn't a problem.
Our family stayed at Casita Sun Star to celebrate my birthday in early October. We were a family of 6, including 4 adults (myself, husband, mother & teen) + 2 toddlers. The home is nicely decorated, bright and airy with a comfortable beach cottage feel. There was plenty of room to spread out for the six of us plus we had 2 family members over for dinner and no one felt too tight.
The home was FULLY stocked with most things you would need on your vacation. There was an overabundance of paper towels, toilet paper, bath & beach towels, kitchen utensils, pots/pans. There was even a couple of condiments left over. Although there were no actual coffee grinds, we did have a standard drip coffee machine and Publix or 7-11 was not too far away to grab any grocery items needed.
Chris and Eric with the management team were superior in their accessibility and responsiveness to any question that I had. Whether I called or emailed, they were always great about picking up the phone and calling me back. The cupcakes left for the family was a nice touch when we arrived.
The home itself is not on the center part of the Key but it is still very close to everything on that side and we found many things in walking distance. There is also a shuttle service nearby that you can take for free (accepts tips only) that can get you around.
The Duplex does share a wall with it's sister property but that unit has it's own pool and our neighbors were friendly. The walls were a little thin so we tried to be cautious of our children not banging around too much.
My only issue I ran into on my trip is that when I arrived, my kitchen floor wasn't super clean. We found sand and a few dead worms and a small dried up frog in the dining room. It made me believe that someone hadn't been there in a while to clean. I had called on a Sat. to make them aware of the issue (not Eric or Chris) and the lady that returned my call said that she'd have house-keeping come back out to do a clean up of the floors... They never arrived. In addition to that, we had an invasion of ants, both sugar and regular. The same person advised that she'd send maintenance to take care of it and she didn't. The gap seemed to be more of an issue with her forgetting to put the work order in since I had gotten excellent responses prior to that. Overall, this was a great home. Next time, I'd try a new one though. I saw Cottages on multiple property signs while there and would like to explore.
Decor was great you felt like you were in a Beach house. Cupcakes upon arrival a very nice touch. The only issue we had is that we were Seniors and getting into the pool was difficult. They had no railing to enter or get out. Location was excellent close to everything. Had issue with cable was addressed right away. I would recommend to people just not Seniors.
Nice little house with a lovely pool for our annual girlfriend trip!
We loved the ease of finding the property. Parking was nice, although we would have preferred a gate to our side of the house for privacy and security. A bit disappointing that the house was located on the main road - a bit noisy - the reason for not giving 5 stars. A pretty wall surrounded the pool, however, and the landscaping was lovely. Everything we needed for the beach was there which was fantastic. The walk to the beach was a bit longer than we anticipated - we should have checked since we are senior women. We didn't have enough paper products to get us through our stay, which has not been our experience from previous rentals. We had to call the management company to get a new umbrella for the pool, but the response was quick - he couldn't fix it and brought us a lovely new one! We loved the yummy cupcakes that welcomed us, as well as a bottle of wine brought to us on our first full day from the management company - a personal visit was appreciated. We loved Siesta Key - ate in the Village one night and lunched at a marina restaurant nearby another day. We probably won't be back because we like to try new locations each year, but would recommend this to others. The house is just as pictured - lovely.
Our party of 6 loved the location and accommodations. Pool area was great, with less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The only draw back was that we didnât realize this was a twin single and the pools are right next to each other, they could use more plants for privacy from the neighbors, who with the common wall from being a twin single we could hear when they were partying pretty loud at night! Would book again tho
Awesome rental with great accommodations and pool!
Great experience! The extras like bikes, beach chairs, coolers, wagon were perfect for the short walk to the beach! The pool was large enough and everything was top notch in the home! Beds were very comfortable too!!
It was very nice. We had a family reunion, and our stay was very pleasant. Two of our children are thinking about going with their families and repeat the experience.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! We grew up in Florida and come back every year. This has been our best rental by far. The space fit our family perfectly. So many things to glorify: the memory foam beds including the pull out sofa (a bonus for adults), spacious kitchen and dinning area, outdoor dinning space, shed with beach accessories, private pool, washer and dryer, and the welcome cupcakes put it over the top. Your staff was very helpful with any questions or concerns during our stay. I emailed asking where to put the trash cans after they have been emptied and someone came to put them away. You exceeded my expectations. We will be using The Cottages on the Key from now on.
Our family of five just returned from a 1 week stay at Casita Sun Star. The home is beautiful - we were told that this unit, and the adjoining, one were completely remodeled this summer. It is just as pictured on the website. The place is well stocked, with very comfortable beds, bath and beach towels, a variety of kitchen tools - even a filled spice rack. There are also bikes, beach chairs and a rolling beach caddy, which were very helpful. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk from here (10 minutes with kids and beach gear). We didn't get a chance to ride the free island trolley, but it can be caught just in front of the house. Just as impressive as the home, the level of service from the people at The Cottages on Key was wonderful. We notified them in advance that we would be arriving late on our first day; they sent detailed entry instructions, and left lights on at the house to assist us.The welcome gift of gourmet cupcakes was a nice touch. When we had trouble connecting to the WIFI and left a phone message, the office responded within an hour and resolved the problem, and also sent someone out to check on the equipment. We've already recommended this cottage to our family and friends, and we'd love to stay here again on future trips to Siesta Key.
