Maybe it was just the room we were in, but it had no windows. We also could hear all the plumbing of the building anytime it was in use. It also smelled of mold and smoke. BUT the neighborhood was very safe and walkable. We found a lovely little noodle bar just down the road and fell in love! AND common man coffee across the street was amazing

I was given the smallest room available. It smelled strongly of body odour when i moved in. I asked reception if I could upgrade to a larger room and was told (lied to) that all the rooms were the same. After walking past several rooms with open doors i can say absolutely that all rooms are not the same. I imagine that because i booked thru an agency like Expedia that they allocate tge worst room possible and save the better rooms for people who book directly. This was the worst hotel experience i have ever had. And I've stayed in thousands of hotels around the world. I recommend people stay away from any hotel 81.

Thin walls. I could hear other people’s noises before riding the elevator or even inside my room even if the noise is coming from a room few rooms away from mine! And I swear the I could hear them “getting some action” real freaking loud! If I knew that this was a motel or the like, i never would’ve opted for this one. Too bad a lot of decent hotels are freaking expensive (high up the ceiling expensive) during the eras tour in SG. Ugh. Never again with this hotel! The room i reserved were two twin beds and yet they put us in a one queen bed and the room reeks of cigarette! Jeez! The only thing that was OK with this are the staff and that’s it.

It was basic

Check in was pretty poor. Room was very basic but had a bed, toilet and shower ! Very thin and not sound proofed .. someone having sex down the corridor wasn’t difficult to hear. Positive - it was only one night stay
