NEVER FAILS TO AMAZE ME

I have been a regular payron IBIS on Bencoolen. Each stay is a pleasant experience. "There's beauty in simplicity"...that's how I would like to describe this hotel. Will always return as your guest whenever I am in Singapore.

Our room was extremely small. Entrance to the bathroom was absolutely ridiculous. In restaurant buffet was very limited and they didn’t bring out fresh stuff. Food was not fresh and mostly leftovers.

We had a comfortable stay at this hotel! The room was small but quite adequate, with useful amenities included. Great location close to several buses/metro stops and in walking distance from several sights/neighborhoods. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very generous. Definitely good value for money in my opinion and would recommend. A couple things stood out: 1) a deposit is collected at check-in and charged to the credit card. I'm still waiting for that to be refunded and hope it won't be an issue. I believe it takes up to 30 days to get that back. Other hotels I've stayed out have done a credit card hold vs an actual charge, so keep that in mind. 2) The elevators are quite loud so if you are a light sleeper, request a room away from them. I found them quite annoying late at night/in the early morning, but eventually managed to tune them out.

It is good that it has half day early check in policy. Staff are helpful and polite I am assigned at high floor but the water coming from shower head is too weak for bathing.

If I could give this hotel -1 star, I would do it. Horrible experience. Tiny rooms, dirty, my wife woke up with her body covered by bites (insects), young men having parties in the room next to us made it impossible to sleep. just don’t go.
