Centrally located away from the cruise ship crowds. 2 washers and dryers in laundry room. Restaurant in back of property.

THE SHUTTLE DRIVER DID NOT SHOW UP. WE HAD TO HIRE A TAXI TO TAKE US TO THE AIRPORT .

Your rooms were clean and nicely remodeled. Because we brought in some of our own groceries we intended to cook a bit more in our room... (We actually had 3 different rooms during our stay- as we booked a 2 night and then added an additional 3rd night. We also spent one more night on our return from a side excursion) but found the cooking dishes and utencils limited and different in each room. Manager very friendly- but desk receptionist- not as friendly or helpful-(but realize they may be overworked.) Our initial email confirmation had said check in time was 2pm. when we got there they said it was changed to 3pm but still wasn't cleaned and ready until 4pm. The receptionist offered no apology or friendly conversation. Trying to contact someone by phone- we tried leaving a message on a couple of occasions - we never had anyone return our calls. We would recommend the Sitka Hotel to friends and would definitely like to stay there in the future but would suggest your front desk be a better 'ambassador' for the Sitka Hotel

Even though I made the reservation months ago I was given a room on the ground level next to the lobby. It was very noisy and there was a walk way right outside my window which made me very uncomfortable and didn’t allow me to open my window. I did eat at the restraint which was excellent.
