Vacasa is terrible

I couldn't get in for hours. I contacted Vacasa many times for assistance. They suggested I just cancel my reservation and book elsewhere because they couldn't help me enter the property I had paid for. They are so bad at customer service. The property itself was perfect. Sadly the property manager just doesn't care.

Great location

5 of us stayed here for a 4 day ski trip. It was a great location to access both Brighton and Solitude without needing to drive - able to walk and utilize shuttle system. We cooked each night and the kitchen had ample supplies/facilities to do that.

Solitude weekend trip

Amazing location and super clean property, but the check in/out experience with picking up and dropping the keys at Vacasa office was inconvenient. Otherwise, the stay was great. Very well stocked and perfect location close to the lifts.

Great base for a ski trip

Fantastic location a short walk from Solitude’s chair lifts. In the heart of a cute village in a secluded environment. Good amenities and overlooks the hot tub so you know when it is free! Ski lockers etc and underground parking a real plus. The only slight annoyance was needing to pick the keys up (and drop off) a mile down the road. Would be nice if you could just pick these up at the lodge. Communication was good and the local Vacasa team were very prompt and responsive. Would stay again.

Convenient Location

We chose this condo for an event we attended at Solitude. It was the perfect location for us and was great to be close to everything there. I was disappointed to find out none of the buildings there have A/C and even though we had two ceiling fans, there was only one movable oscillating fan. It was hot! We all had trouble sleeping at night and would have loved to have more airflow inside the condo. It was very clean and check-in/out was extremely easy. Would recommend this place!

We loved the location of the condo! Ski in and ski out, located right in a cute little village. Not to mention the garage parking! Plenty of room for our family of 4, and the condo was very clean.

Weekend visit with my son

The property was as described. The place was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. I was in town for the weekend to visit my son who is attending the University of Utah. We stayed two nights, skied one day. Would definitely stay again.

Great Home Base

Good option when skiing both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Ski in/ski out for Solitude and easy 5 minutes to Brighton and 30 to Alta/Snowbird. Outdoor hot tub and indoor laundry facilities are good extras. Condo was great for two, and with bunk beds it would be great for a family. Would definitely recommend.

Clean, convenient, no fuss

Nicely sized place (there were only two of us) but with room for more. Internet worked great (sadly, we had a rainy day), everything worked out just fine.

Excellent location- close to slopes and clean

The condo was in a great location, it was clean and well maintained and had a great view of the slopes. It would be perfect for a family of 4 but for our family of 5 (3 kids) it was too tight. There was only seating for 4 (couch and a side chair) in the living room so one of us needed to use a dining chair. The items provided were really lacking in this condo. If you do not plan to do any cooking it is perfect but the cooking necessity were terrible (pans warped when heated, etc.). There were 2 humidifiers in the condo but no slow cooker, which I thought strange for a ski condo. There was also no extras that you would typically find in a vacation condo like books (other than the Book of Mormon), games, puzzles, etc. The washers/dryers are on the 4th floor and were very convenient (no quarters needed) but they are shared so may be in use when you want to do a load of wash (2 washers, 4 dryers). I would definitely stay in the same building again, but just not this same unit. The seating/cooking issues were a major problem for us.

Not a happy skier

Solitude is a beautiful and quaint family ski area. We loved the village and convenience of ski-in and ski-out, restaurants and spa. We rented our unit through Vacasa Rentals. We arrived to our unit and opened the door to an overwhelming odor. It had a very strong cooking smell that permeated the whole unit. We tried to find candles in the Village but could not. When we called the rental company to request to be moved to a different (even smaller) unit, they said they had no availability. The manager brought us a bottle of Febreeze. We kept all windows open and used three fans to get rid of smell. Mostly, I was disappointed in the response of on site manager, and the lack of follow up. I would recommend staying in Solitude. However, I will use a different rental company next time. Even though they offered to discount our stay, my point was that we were on vacation, and the issue was about an enjoyable experience and not about saving a few dollars.

Great Unit - in the village - yards from the Apex Lift

I stayed there for 3 nights with a buddy for an epic weekend where we received 3 feet of powder. Locals and staff were calling it the best days of the year. The unit was just as advertised both in appearance and description. Not a lot of surprises at all. We stopped at the market on the way up so we ate breakfast each morning in the condo. All pots and pans were there, didn't need anything. Beds were comfortable, linens were clean no issues there. The unit is in Solitude Village so we were a couple hundred feet from the bars and restaurants for dinner at the Thirsty Squirrel or The Grill. The ski lockers were conveniently located at the entrance to the building and the car was covered from snow all weekend being parked underground. I would stay here again - cost and quality was totally fine. Suggestions: the bathroom tub was a bit outdated and clogged easily. The towels were kinda like small gym towels. They should provide better towels and consider changing out the tub. It looked like an econo-stay bathroom.

Excellent location and facility - But the lockbox and Key are located a mile from the Village

Great location and facility. My only complaint is that the lockbox with key are located a little over a mile away from the condo in Solitude Village. We took Canyon transportation (which was great) from the airport to Solitude. When we arrived at the front desk we were informed that the lockbox and key were located a little over a mile back down the road at Vacasa property management (the company that we booked from through VRBO). There was absolutely no mention of the lockbox/key location in the info after we booked the property, and this was not the fault or a reflection of the very nice staff at the Solitude Village front desk. They mentioned that literally everyone who books with Vacasa property management is not aware of this key issue and they have to turn them around to go back and get it. This may not be a big deal to spring/summer/fall guests when the weather is nice outside, but we arrived in the evening when it was snowing heavily, and to have to turn around and go back down the road a mile plus to get the key was a HUGE inconvenience and cost me more money with the driver. Loved the location, great condo, Solitude Village is a wonderful place. Just know that if you book this you will need to pick up the key over a mile away.
