Wonderful views across the Dales and great hospitality! Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. The family room we had was spacious and tea/ coffee/cocoa available in the room. Comfortable lounge area that shows how they transformed a dark farmhouse into the beautiful B&B they now have. The sheep are adorable, which are rare breeds, in this small holding!
We stayed for 12! Days it was so good. Beautiful property in the heart of North Yorkshire - amazing selection of breakfast. Clean rooms and family-run, friendly service.
Sometimes we had to ask repeatedly for clean towels - and we don’t change them everyday. Beds were old and could use updating for comfort.
Otherwise - would highly recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Pleasant and spacious farmhouse could improve.
First impressions were not positive. Acceptably we arrived early, however the male owner saw us arriving and promptly disappeared into the house. The female owner was gardening but must have seen us approach down the driveway. We were ignored until i called out to her. Breakfast staff were pleasant and accommodating. Parking was not easy and there is a need to extend parking areas. Bed linen and towels were old, with thread bare and off white towels.
What a beautiful location. When my wife and i woke up in the morning, we watched the sunrise over the Dales. The same for breakfast as the dining room has ceiling high windows overlooking the cows and sheep grazing in the fields. The rooms are nice, clean, and quiet, and the beds are comfy. We quickly became friends with some of the other guests. The bottom line is that we had a wonderful time there. We highly recommend Throstle Nest Farm.
Clean, lovely room with very comfy bed and pillows. Quiet area with super views.Pleasant owner and staff. Homemade drop scones at breakfast were yummy. Will be staying again.
Easy to find.Warm welcome . We were allocated a room overlooking the back of the house but view from the breakfast room on the other side was stunning. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked. My only criticism and it is a small one was that more attention could be made on setting the tables. There was always something missing,, cutlery, butter etc
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again
Tea and coffee was plentiful in our room.
Our stay was wonderful only stayed one night but would definitely come back and would stay longer, staff where friendly and the breakfast was wonderful.
This is a lovely location; very picturesque--on a working farm. Great views. Room was small but nice and clean. Room stays warm without a problem, but the common area (which is quite nice) was pretty cold. (To be fair, we were there in November during an energy crisis.) The remoteness of the place is definitely its charm, though it was a bit of a trek to get there. Parking was very convenient. It was dark and very rainy when we arrived, and so we decided to order food (via Uber Eats) rather than venture out again. Breakfast was included and very good.
Everything was great look forward to staying here again

Disliked: Room comfort
Ok but wouldn't stay again, sorry
Unfortunately, the welcome we received wasn't particularly friendly. The room we stayed in was ok but the beds were not particularly comfortable. Breakfast was good.
You are greeted by a fabulous house and lovely garden that is a sun trap.
The room was lovely with good facilities. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful, making you feel comfortable.
Breakfast was fantastic.
