Loved our stay here! The house was perfect for our needs, and we enjoyed being so close to the beach and the redwoods! Would definitely stay here again.
This house has such a gorgeous view and beautiful porch. Itâs so so lovely. The host was friendly. HoweverâŠI think it is important to mention how uncomfortable all of the furniture is. 5 nights there and my body was sore from the master bed and seating options. These rentals are SO expensive these days, and going to bed with terrible pillows (bring your own! There is literally zero quality pillows), Target dorm room quality sheets and dollar store shampoos didnât make the home feel very cozy. You would think with how much money staying 5 nights cost, that the host could splurge on better quality furniture and products to make the house feel better. The outside fire pit was also broken. The Rabbit/Jackalope art was hilarious and amazing and truly being on the coast is such a joy, and I never want to leave a bad review, but I do think itâs important for everyone to be aware, in case they have an elderly guest and are concerned about body comfort on the trip otherwise the person was friendly, check in was easy, and views for DAYS!
Loved loved loved the vintage 70s feel. Majestic view of ocean and exactly what we wanted. The path down to the beach is very steep but we were prepared based on other reviews. Would definitely stay again
Would have been a 4/5 but too many things needed work. View was great, good beach, easy to get to. The house was pretty typical beach house. The grill was terrible (the bottom fell out the 1st time we tried to use it. The sliding glass doors wouldnât lock, had to use broom handles, shades in bedrooms difficult to work. The pillows were about the worst weâve ever found in a VBRO. No ice maker or trays. One of bathrooms had water on the floor all the time.
We met our parents for a Northern California coastal escape. The house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed watching the waves from the balcony, having a fire on the beach and daily hikes in the redwoods. Leo was a great host, he was easy to communicate with. Thanks for a great experience.
I have read many reviews about this location before booking here. There was one in particular that mentioned when you come in the front door ...oh my gosh, after driving for 15 hours, that view made it all worth it. You can see the ocean waves crashing through the back glass windows as you walk in the front door. Spectacular views. The back balcony you could practically live on. The beach sadly isn't right off the back balcony for you to walk on to. There is that side gate one house down to the South that gives you a path down to the beach. But it is a hike. Carrying things can be a bit of a chore, but it is all worth it. The beach is marvelous, other than the absolutely freezing water temperature. I think it was 57 while we were here in the water. We were lucky enough to be here at the beginning of June and the weather was phenomenal, low 70s all week. We visited the Jedidiah Smith redwood forest. We drove up the coast of Oregon to see some nice views and did some small hikes. We also swam in the Smith River. But that deck on the back of the house and that beach was the real reason I came. As for the house, it was everything we needed. Did have the three bedrooms, each sleeping two people. There was a game room that had a pull out futon type bed, but really only slept one person. So the house in a way only properly sleeps seven. We brought a blow up to bed to accommodate a couple more people with the hosts permission. Host was fantastic as well
The view was amazing! Inside was dated and the "hot tub" in the listing is a jetted tub in the bathroom. But the view, sound of waves crashing. Pics look like right on beach. There are very steep steps on the beach access down at the end
You are not going to find a better place on the Oregon coast for viewing and enjoying the beach. The path down could be too challenging for older or infirmed people. It is rather long and steep. Good condition though.
The home is very spacious. The kitchen is not particularly well stocked but is servicable. The furnishings are very modest. The spa tub in the master bedroom sadly would not hold water. The deck is incredible! The BBQ is good.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. We would love to come back but it is pretty expensive.
This is a fantastic rental on the Northern California coast, with just a short drive to some of the best parts of Redwoods National & State Parks.
The house was a great size for our party of six, with wonderful views of the coast. Most days we felt like we had the beach to ourselves, and there are great tide pools to the north!
The host is very communicative and has fantastic suggestions on dining and activities in southern Oregon and Norther California so take them into consideration!
We'd have never explored the Rogue River jet boat tours without his recommendation and that was a true highlight for all of us with some fantastic wildlife viewing along the way.
We'd come back and stay here in a heartbeat!
Overall, the place was great. Amazing views from the house and deck. The beaches were almost empty and the weather was great, Would stay there again if I can
In my little family we had two graduations and a 50th birthday party to celebrate! We had saved and planned this trip for a long time and this beautiful home did not disappoint. The house is well stocked, beds and pillows were comforable and we had plenty of room to be together AND apart when we needed it! I spent a lot of time sitting on the deck looking out over the ocean - it was incredibly relaxing and just what I needed after the grind of getting a degree. We waded in the water (pretty chilly) and collected rocks and shells. We watched the sun set every night of our 6 night stay. Communication with the host was perfect and checking in and out was easy. The experience was very laid back and I appreciated that. We got our damage deposit back in a timely manner. I hope we can come back again some day. Thank you for a memorable stay!
Perfect coastal getaway! We had a fabulous stay and couldnât recommend this home more! The location was absolutely gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed the patio and the beach access being so convenient. The home was clean and comfortable and was well stocked with anything we could have needed during our stay. We would highly recommend this home to anyone staying in the area and would definitely book again if we find ourselves back in the neighborhood.
