Two Bedroom Guest House

Two bedroom open concept guest house. Approximately 950 square feet. Located between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, 5 minutes from Sandy Beach Campground and 20 minutes from Cedar Rapids Airport. Amenities include; full kitchen including dishwasher, washer and dryer, fireplace, surround sound theater setup, wireless internet, HD TV with all movie channels, gas grill and patio furniture. Fire pit available upon request. Plenty of wildlife to be seen, to include deer, wild turkeys and many birds. Foot path (-50 yards) down to Coralville Reservoir. Feel free to bring fishing poles!! We do clean thoroughly and we don’t charge any cleaning fees.

Notes:
Please don’t book to hold a party. Inviting a few guests over is fine but please limit max number of vehicles to 3.

Please contact us if instant booking with less than 3 days before your stay. We will need to speak with you. Sorry, bad things have happened in the past with last minute bookings.

All pets must be kenneled when left alone. Thank You.

We love this cute quiet house!! Super spacious with all the amenities. The hosts are very personable. Only complaint is we didnt get to see Tinker their dog this time. Close enough to Kinnick stadium without all the noise. Peaceful and beautiful out doors. All the appliances you need to cook a meal. The snacks and treats are always appreciated. This is our third stay and we will be back next year!! GO HAWKS!!

Amazing as always. The fire place was perfect for this slushy wet weekend! Such a great find for the hawkeye game. Second time staying here with another stay in 2 weeks. Comfy beds. Large living room. Close to Shueyville which has a cute restaurant/bar. Cant wait to be back!!

Home away from home!

Amazing stay and I will definitely be coming back when I have work in Iowa again! I was made to feel very at home. The host let my dog run around and play with her dog. Everyone had a great time and the place was immaculate. Thank you to the host and hostess!

Wonderful all around!

We were in town for a hockey tournament and this was a great place to stay when we weren't at the rink! It's located in a beautiful setting and isn't really too far from anything you might need. The place itself was exceptionally clean and they keep it stocked so nicely. Upon arrival, there was a personalized card from Dee & Grant welcoming us. We utilized the fireplace while we watched tv and hung out which was really nice and cozy! They had bottled water in the fridge, a whole tray of awesome snacks (even some gluten free options - THANK YOU!). There was plenty of sliverware/dinnerware etc. if you choose to cook meals too. Dee was accomodating and answered my questions whenever I had any. We were originally planning on bringing our dogs, and she was even willing to let them out and feed them while we were at the rink - SO thoughtful! We will definitely be back if we are ever down in this area!

Awesome property

This home is a very cozy place. The hosts go above and beyond with the amenities. The gas fireplace is wonderful. They allow you to bring your dogs. It is only a 20 minute ride to Cedar Rapids and 27 minutes to Coralville. Perfect little getaway.

Christmas gathering

We spent 4 nights here. We had our granddaughter for 3 nights. Our kida and other grandchild came saturday afternnon for our family Christmas. The rental was very clean and well stocked. The owners were very helpful ans brought us another folding table for our meal. They even had a mini Christmas tree and decorations.

Sweet reprieve

This property was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. You can see the Coraville Resevoir from the windows. It is in the country and very quiet. Saw some deer and wild turkey. It was very cold with 30 mph winds so we don't hike much. Grant and Dee were fun. We would return again.

Dee and Grant were great. Their chocolate lab was very friendly with our pups. Deer and turkey were in the yard just about every night we were there. Will stay again when in the area.

Very nice well stocked house!

Owners live on in a separate house on the property and were great to deal with. The location is a bit off the beaten path but in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. The house was very clean and well furnished. And REALLY well stocked! It was stocked with snacks, drinks and basic hygiene supplies you may have forgotten (and our teenage grandkids did), and even an unexpected treat you’ll have to book to find!

Weekend @ The Star Gaizer

This is an adorable and cozy little house, tucked away in a beautiful setting. Our hosts, Grant and Dee left a sweet card for us to find upon arrival, and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need for our stay. They are kind enough and brave enough to let their guests bring their fur babies along, which was super important to us! The attention to detail was above and beyond my expectations and I would definitely rent with Dee and Grant again! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Iowa football weekend!

We were looking for a place to stay close to Kinnick stadium but didn't want to pay hotel prices. This house was a perfect find!! 30 mins from the stadium. It was such a cute house! Very clean and decorated perfectly! Beds were comfortable and they provided extra pillows and blankets. They left cute touches throughout! The owners were so kind and answered questions quickly. An added plus is their two dogs that came to visit one morning! This was the perfect place for our weekend get away to watch another Hawkeye win!!! We will be back!!

Peaceful respite with friendly owners

My husband and our 2 dogs flew a kite, had a picnic, listened and identified birds, and threw the ball for the dogs for hours all over the property before making smores on the fire pit and getting some amazing sleep in the comfortable bed.

Highly recommend staying here!!

This was the cleanest property I have rented! The hosts are wonderful to work with and they are very thoughtful. They had everything we might have forgotten (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc). They even had drinks and snack for us. I highly recommend this property if you need a place in the area. It is one of the best we have been at.
