Family-friendly nature retreat on the beautiful Wekiva River

Situated directly on one of the widest locations of the Wekiva River, this Wekiva River retreat is the perfect place to unwind, and reconnect. You will have direct access to this beautiful landscape via our array of kayaks and canoes, or enjoy the scenery on our brand new floating dock. The house is newly renovated with state of the art appliances, perfect for large family gatherings, corporate retreats, and wellness escapes.

Sorrento Florida is a beautiful escape just 45 minutes outside of the bustling city of Orlando. This property is the perfect place to enjoy all that the Wekiva River has to offer; From kayaking and Canoeing, to nature trails and state parks within walking distance of the house.

SECURITY CAMERA DISCLOSURE: security cameras are located on the four corners of the home to protect the perimeter of the property. As well as a doorbell camera for your convenience.

Lauren's Lake House

Lauren's lake house is a beautiful property and very spacious. The home itself was outdated, could use some upgrading. We loved the outdoors the most but couldn't fully enjoy at night due to the bears in the area. There were a few bears roaming the property at night. The kitchen was fully equipped with the essentials needed which was a plus. My main concern with this home was the smell, wasn't too sure if the septic or water was having issues but throughout the home it reaped of rotten eggs. The cleaning also wasn't the best, there was hair left in the shower drains maybe from previous guest. The parking was more than enough for my family and I. For the amount paid I kind of expected a little more from the home, but we enjoyed and made the best of our Christmas.

Amazing Filming Location!

Our team of 8 people set up in this amazing house to film videos for kids (in our church) featuring actors in a rainforest. Lauren was so incredible to host us and accommodate our needs. The house was perfect with a large living and kitchen space. The bedrooms were also a good size. We loved the big back porch and the outdoor patio. The walkway to the river was beautiful and from the dock, we could sit and enjoy various wildlife (lots of woodpeckers and an alligator)! Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful home on the river

The home and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. We were visiting family who lives in Orlando and tried our Sorrento for a few days during our stay. We brought my mother in law who lives in Florida with us to stay for a few days to explore a new area. Even she felt like she was on vacation at this peaceful retreat. The boys loved kayaking down the river and we enjoyed hiking at the state parks. Lauren was quick to respond and offer plenty of helpful recommendations in the area.

A week on the Wekiva

This stay was very relaxing, I’m not big on cameras everywhere but understand the host feels the need for security. Nice walkway to the dock and plenty of wildlife. House is big and beautiful. If you’re looking for a remote setting with neat towns 20-30 minutes away, this is the place for you.

Gorgeous and relaxing!!

I cannot recommend this property enough. The home is gorgeous, well appointed and impeccably clean. The property manager went over and above to ensure we had an amazing stay and was so kind. Even though the online pictures are gorgeous they do not do this property justice. In person we were so impressed with how clean, gorgeous, spacious and peaceful this home actually is

Great Getaway Close to Home

The 2020-2021 school year has been extremely trying and taxing on teachers. When 3 friends all had birthdays within days of each other we knew it was time for a getaway that would carry us to the end of the school year. We cannot express how peaceful the environment was. We had so much fun getting in the kayaks and paddling the river. The fire pit was thoroughly enjoyed. And that massive kitchen was perfect for a group gathering. This was so wonderful we would definitely head back.

Lovely Get Away

We were looking for something different to do a mini spring break for my daughter and some friends. The house has an amazing back area with all the amenities for canoeing and kayaking. The house is very spacious and clean. Lots of fun personal touches on our arrival!! It was just lovely.

Overall we had a great time

Im born and raised in the area and the location was very meaningful and perfect!! Bring your own toilet paper, they don't mention they only provide one back up for the entire place which includes 3 bathrooms(Unless I missed it in the post). Maintenance wasn't really up to par. There were so many lights out including can lights, several stove lights, and bedside. We had to wipe out fridge before use. It was properly empty but still soiled. The door knobs and areas around the knobs were sticky and disgusting. Maybe just a chat is needed with the cleaning company. Oh also we unplugged several wall air fresheners due to possible fire hazards they had been dried out for what seemed like weeks. Maybe Im a little picky because the place is so pricey! Im sure these things will be fixed promptly. Id definitely rent again. Even though you have to bring your own back up toilet paper.
