In Nature 2beds & 2baths , air conditioned
We offer this hidden gem in Soufriere, St. Lucia. This Villa is located 10 - 15 minutes by car from Banking services, Casual & Fine Dining Restaurants, the Beach, Waterfalls, Mineral Springs and the World's only Drive-in Volcano. Our villa features, a clean kitchen, living room and dining area, with 2 bedrooms, each with their own baths. To add to the living arrangements, you will have an amazing, view of the majestic 'Pitons,' Saint Lucia's pride & joy. Be a "Trail Blaizer" and stay with us. The property receives treated water from the local water company via truck delivery and stores it in a tank, as there are no direct water pipelines in this area. Water is available for normal daily use, and guests are asked to be mindful of water consumption.
The house caretakers are wonderful people, the unit was spotless and clean. They addressed all our questions and concerns. Views are spectacular. Only few things keep in mind, unit is loft style even bathrooms, so do not expect any privacy in the bathroom or bedroom from other people in the house, also if anybody prefer early bedtime the lights are strong in every room and one room light lights all other rooms. Also, in the first floor it is another unit, so you might not be only ones in the house. Hot water pressure super low so expect colder showers, location of the rental is not accurate in the ad, if you want location look for treetop restaurant, the house few houses down, you definitely need at least 2 wheel drive car as house is not in town itself. Otherwise surroundings and nature is beautiful, shared pool is a plus.
We stayed for 2 weeks at My Trailblaizer. The experience was excellent in all aspects. âJonesâ was a wonderful and friendly owner/manager of the property. He checked in regularly to see if we needed anything and to enquire how things were going. He even arranged to have our laundry done for use on the second week. Mike, in the cottage below, was friendly but unobtrusive. He brought us limes on our first day there. He even washed the car. Speaking of cars, youâll need some form of transportation if you stay here - either your own car or a reliable taxi service. You are quite high up the hill from Soufriere - but thatâs what makes the views from the porch so amazing!! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the few simple meals we stayed in for. Overall, I would recommend this cottage and will even consider a return stay when back in the Soufriere area. Thanks Jones for a lovely couple of weeks.
I was a solo traveler to this property. I felt very safe especially with Michael being on the property. Michael was very kind and helpful with almost everything that I needed during my stay. The owner & the cohost was also very helpful with things that I needed as well. It was an overall great experience as far as the host and house helpers go.
The driver that they recommended was awesome as well.
The house was squeaky clean and had ample amount of space. The real steal was the breathtaking view. I loved watching the sunsets from the balcony! I hope to return when the pool is complete. Thanks for having me!
We loved our stay!
The house is beautifully located, a ten minute drive from Soufriere. The view is spectacular. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Michael lives on the hut below the property and kept an eye on the house at all time. He was the most engaging and knowledgeable individual and made our stay memorable.
We definitely recommend having a rental car (you'll drive on the left side of the road and roads are really rough and steep) and a cell phone contract that allows calls abroad. That will alow you to navigate and visit the island.
Check in was not easy. We had to call a phone number and meet Phulgence at the Fire Station in Soufriere. This would have been impossible if we didn't have a gps to take us there and a cell contract for calls abroad. That said he came right away and led us up the hill to the house, left us the key, and even gave us some potable water, which was essential since it was January 1st and everything was closed.
You'll also need the phone to make reservations to restaurants and navigate around the island. Many beautiful beaches are a 10-30 minute drive away.
The real down to our stay was the checkout. We received no instructions, not through VRBO nor by phone. No one contacted us. We are property managers too and travel often, so we simply did the standard: cleaned the house, the dishes etc, and left the property locked with the key inside and a thank you note. We even left some rum behind as a thank you.
Little did we know that Phulgence did not have a second key. We met him on the road as we were driving to the airport and he was furious, yelling at us for leaving one hour before we had planned to (we did not even know he was aware of our departure time, since we had not spoken to him and we had only shared that in conversation with Michael). We apologized about the misunderstanding and kept driving. He called on our cell phone, still enraged, and kept me on the phone for ten minutes, yelling and going in circles. He even admitted that he did not have a second key because some other guest lost it and he had not made a second copy, yet he somehow expected us to turn around, miss our flight and pay someone to get him into his own house.
Very stressful experience.
Initial communications through VRBO with Denalia were lovely. We would recommend anyone to stay here but to make it very clear what the expectations are for check in and check out to avoid ending your vacation on a sour note.
