Charming Cottage on the River

Hi! Welcome to my place!

My cottage is a simple, wholesome escape. Just a skip away from the busy roads and city life, nature is all around. You might spot a heron flying over the river, chipmunks stopping by to say hello, or even a turkey wandering through the yard. It’s a small, cozy, no-frills kind of place—perfect for slowing down and enjoying the little things.

Indoors, light up the woodstove and get cozy—there’s plenty of firewood for you to use. Play a game of chess at the game table or wind down with some Netflix. Outside, lounge with a good book on the deck, stretch out in the hammock, or fire up the Kamado grill for a BBQ. Sauble Beach is just an 8 minute drive, and Tobermory, Lion’s Head, and Collingwood are all about an hour away.

I've got you covered on bedding and towels—no need to bring your own.

The kitchen is equipped with essentials like pots, pans, dishes, and utensils for your convenience.

Exploring the river outback is best in July and August when the water levels are lower.

As much as I adore animals, the cottage is pet-free, and I don’t make exceptions to be fair to future guests who specifically seek this out.

A little piece of heaven

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped, with thoughtful touches throughout. We loved sitting on the back deck, watching the river and all of the wildlife around it. Our stay was peaceful and private and we would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

Excellent host; all the supplies you can think of; we’ll thought out needed items, games, kitchen supplies, etc. Very quiet, secluded location, gorgeous river view location and we loved it. Our nieces kids had a ball skipping rocks in the Sauble River, and enjoyed the close location to Wiarton, Owens Sound, Sauble Beach. Our host kept us informed, made us feel extremely welcome, and thought of things we didn’t even know we might need. Extremely kind

This is a lovely property with a river just below a shady deck with comfortable chairs. The house has honestly the most well-appointed kitchen of any bnb I've stayed st. 5 minute drive to Sauble Beach with shops and groceries and a long sandy beach.. Just a great, quiet, comfortable stay, and the host was super nice and helpful. Highly recommendrd.

Me and my wife stayed here for 4 days What a perfect place for quiet relaxing time for us Place is close to sauble beach where we watched the sunset Back porch is perfect for having our coffee in the morning with birds chirping and sounds from the river such a treat for us who lives in the city Saima is such a great host Provided us with everything we needed and more Cottage itself is in pristine condition Very clean We highly recommend this place We will definitely come back next time

My husband and I went to this rental for our honeymoon and we loved the quietness and relaxation it provided for us. We also loved how versatile the location was to go to surrounding towns. Perfect Cottage near Sauble Beach

We had the most amazing time at the Sauble River cottage! It’s a perfect spot just short of 10 minutes from beach. Everything was even better than the pictures (super clean and in great condition). The back deck area is reason enough to book here. Not to mention, Saima was the best host we’ve ever had. Not only was she super responsive, she was so quick to provide recommendations for things to do during our stay. We had the best time and will definitely be back!

Amazing piece of paradise!

My husband and I stayed here with our two kids. Not only did it exceed expectations, Saima was a great host! Everything was extremely clean and we enjoyed every minute of our stay! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the river reading, swimming and exploring! It was very central to everything we planned to do along with being so peaceful and quiet! Would definitely recommend and will be back again in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return. The owner was very accommodating, and helpful making us feel at ease. The moment we walked into the cottage it smelt clean, everything was so tidy, and welcoming. The DECK was our favourite part! We spent the most time here in the hammock over looking Sauble River. Our family enjoyed swimming and fishing in the river. They supplied games, tv, bluetooth speaker, coffee, water, soaps and shampoo making packing easier. The beds were comfy, and bedding was supplied. The kitchen was stocked with great quality cooking pans, and utensils. It was close driving distance to the beach and Sauble Speedway.
