Great house, internet issues
This was our first stay in the house and overall we had a great experience. Loved the location and overall layout of the house. The deck was awesome and the new table was perfect! We even loved the trash "shed" - this is the first house in many years that we didn't have to store the trash in the outdoor shower!
Two members of our family were expected to work from home during our stay and we found the internet connection to be very slow - video conferencing and simple productivity tools were not usable. We did some speed tests and those showed 3mbps which is far lower than the current cheapest Xfinity plan (75mbps). We even bought (and returned) a new modem to try to isolate the issue but it only offered marginal improvement of 3.5mbps. Improvement with this issue will be a very important factor in re-booking.
On the cleanliness note, we were excited to have a screened in porch, but disappointed to find it very dirty, like it hadn't been cleaned for the season. The chairs and table were covered in cobwebs and just gross. We spent over an hour sweeping, cleaning the tables/chairs and rearranging so that we could use the porch - which we did a few nights. The ceiling fan in the kitchen and the bathroom fans looked like they had not been cleaned in a while as well. We know they don't have to be cleaned every week, but could tell it hadn't been for a while.
Overall, the house fit our family and we had a great week! Thanks!
