Welcome to The Shady Grove Retreat in beautiful South Fork, Colorado! Surrounded by stunning mountain views, our home is nestled on 2.5 acres of peaceful, tree-lined property. This three-bedroom, two-bathroom hideaway is the perfect year-round basecamp for adventure, offering easy access to outdoor recreation and close proximity to the prestigious Rio Grande Golf Course.

Nestled among aspen and piñon trees, this home is perfect for relaxing and making memories. Let your dog(s) roam in the fully enclosed grassy front yard, sip your morning coffee on the covered front porch while watching Colorado sunsets, or unwind in the private hot tub with stunning Shaw Mountain views. The spacious, grassy backyard features a tiki bar, a large deck with a gas grill, seating for six, and lounge chairs—ideal for entertaining or simply soaking in the scenery.

Inside, unwind by the fireplace in the family room after a day of exploring. The spacious island kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, with a kitchen island, ample counter space, and modern appliances. Gather around the eight-person dining table for family meals or game night.

Cozy and comfortable!

We enjoyed staying at the Shady Grove for our spring break getaway! It was well stocked with everything that we needed and was so peaceful and quiet! We loved taking a dip in the hot tub after a day of snowboarding at WolfCreek. This is a great house and I would stay again if we headed back to South Fork!

Beautiful property

We loved our stay here. Super comfortable and clean house on beautiful property with great views. Loved the hot tub, grill and fenced in area, perfect for a dog. We hiked Beaver Mountain just down the street and caught the last bunch of aspens changing. We will definitely stay again!

We go to Colorado every year. Go to view the aspen and the wildlife. Hit the Aspen's at their peak and saw moose. This cabin was a wonderful base.

Room to relax.

The property was as listed, Spacious, expertly furnished, pet friendly and relaxing spa/jacuzzi. Close to a lot of great destinations. We will be coming back in the near future. We highly recommend it to young and older alike.

The house was wonderful and exactly what we needed…..location, space, hot tub were all great!The property management, Vacasa, was the opposite. I hope the owners find another option to manage their property.

The home itself is beautiful, and we truly loved the views. However, cleanliness was a major issue during our stay. The hot tub had visible slime on the sides and did not appear to be properly maintained. There were dead mice in the pantry, with a very strong odor that suggested they had been there for quite some time, which made the pantry unusable. The back deck also had empty beer cans with cigarette butts left in them. Additionally, parking was not close to the door, which made unloading and loading inconvenient. While the property has a lot of potential due to its location and views, the cleanliness and maintenance issues were disappointing.

Nice house

The house is the perfect size, however it was not very clean. The dishwasher had dirty dishes and it needed to be vacuumed. There was gravel from the driveway on the floors. Also, being from the south, there was no ac so it was kinda stuffy at night in the bedroom. Other than that, it needs some upkeep outside the yard was overgrown and cobwebs on the front and back porches that needed to be swept down. Good location just very far from anything. Overall okay place to stay.

Shady Grove Getaway

Most everything was completely appropriate, and as it should be. Upon check in everything seems to be clean and well cared for. There were two things that need attention. The fireplace was not connected to the thermostat, as was suggested by the labels, and during the High-winds at night, the fireplace made some quite loud clanking sounds. The outdoor hot tub had some questionable amount of dirt in the bottom, and was not used or utilized due to this fact. Aside from these two things that could obviously easily be remedied, we truly enjoyed our time and stay at this property, and would return again.
