I booked a reservation within 48 hours of my stay. I had an emergency and wasn't able to make my trip. I contacted the hotel directly and they would NOT cancel my stay. They kept all my money!

Disappointed and last stay 😕

We had not been at this hotel in a while but I remembered it being nicer back then. This hotel is dated and has not been kept up with being as clean as it used to be. We found 2 small roaches in our family suite and overall u can tell this hotel only gets the minimum amount of effort when it comes to cleaning. The family suite we stayed in had a “room purifier” which has never been cleaned or had filter changed because there was plenty of visible mold in it. Breakfast was not as good as we remembered it but was edible. I understand the cost of everything is going up but watering down orange juice and food to “make it stretch” is not what customers want to experience. Customers now pay even more for hotel stays therefore would appreciate a nicer experience overall. We overheard other guests complaining of issues with their rooms as well. It’s just a shame that we were super excited about our stay because we remembered how nice this hotel used to be. Definitely our last stay here as we must now search for a cleaner and more pleasant environment when we visit South Padre Island.

We ended up losing $653.00! A storm was announced to SPI area exactly on the day of our reservation. I tried to get our reservation rescheduled for safety reasons. I could not expose my family to danger if the storm were to really hit SPI. Nor Expedia or the hotel were able to help and we ended up losing our money be it was paid during the reservation. Mind you we had nsurance. It was a nightmare trying to get someone to understand and care enough to, at least, show some empathy . No one was found…and to top it off…they hang up on me to end the conversation. Worst experience at all!! Never again will I try to stay at this hotel. My family deserves better than this! Thank you Comfort Suits at SPI for the unforgettable experience. I was happy to come back and do business with you based on my first experience which was overall ok as I did not need to make any changes on that one but to say on this one it was about my family’s safety due to a nature fact. Definitely not coming back to Comfort Suits at SPI in Texas!!

Mold in the room. Everything was damp from humidity outside so rooms aren’t well insulated. Staff know about the mold problem because they have the bathroom fan hardwired to stay on permanently. This of course is now a fire hazard. Definitely would NOT recommend anyone stay here.

We paid a whopping 380$ for a two-night stay, but it was an absolute waste of money. The hotel was in a state of disrepair, with moldy carpets and a musty smell throughout the rooms. Some fixtures even had rusty and live mold growth. To make matters worse, we had no internet connection for the entire two nights, and the front desk’s response to our complaint was completely unprofessional and devoid of any remorse. The phone line was dead, and almost everything in the hotel felt like it was from the 1960s, with only minimal upkeep. I’ve even seen better motels at half the price we paid here. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially at this price point.
