Peaceful & enjoyable stay in remodeled condo

We had a very peaceful and enjoyable time. We loved the remodel of this unit , as we had stayed in this unit previously. It was comfortable and modern and everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful with booking and made our trip easy to arrange. My only comment for improvement is that the patio furniture was not very comfortable and was not the really nice furniture that we remembered being there previously.

This was out first time using SPI Rentals. The unit was clean and clearly recently updated. Great views, quiet and stocked with everything we needed. Bathrooms were very clean and showers had great pressure. Washer/dryer was a definite plus. Only slight negative was the living room maybe needed another stand lamp in the corner because in the evening it was a bit dark in the living area. updated lighting in the kitchen/bar area was bright. Non contact check in was great and they texted me when the unit was ready, so we were actually able to check in an hour early. It was overall a great week. Thanks SPI Rentals!

Beautiful Front Beach View

Family really enjoyed every day of our stay at this beautiful remodeled apartment. Kitchen is fully equipped, but make sure you bring your own gas grill. SPI rentals no longer rent BBQ grills. I would definitely be staying in again..

Great condo Saida 405!

Great condo for small family of 3. Awesome view of ocean from 4th floor balcony! Very clean and well equipped unit. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus. Access to beach was superb and Saida I property was well maintained, very clean and staff was very friendly. We will be back next year. Thank you for making our vacation great.

Perfect for a Christmas at the beach!

We rented this condo in particular because it had the exact amenities that we needed, and the price was right. The kitchen is great- we prepared a huge traditional Christmas dinner and everything we needed was already there. Waking up to the sun rising over the waves and a gentle ocean breeze is so nice. Even more so when you know that everyone back home is shoveling snow! I’ll definitely keep this property in mind for our next visit.

The access to the beach and restaurant's is great. Just a few issues with our unit The ceiling fan in the bedroom sounds like it is ready to fall down, the TV in the bedroom was stuck on a children's station, the toilet would not stop running, and make sure when you leave the room that you push any number to lock the door! The door does not lock if you don't do this! They didn't tell us at the office. We were lucky that we weren't robbed. The water pressure in the shower and sink was really low.

Week in April 2022

The view from the condo is perfect. The balcony was spacious for relaxing or eating outside. All the rooms offered a wonderful view of the ocean which was exactly what we wanted. Kitchen was spacious with lots of countertop for easy cooking. Nice variety of cooking ware/utensils. We liked having a code instead of keys for the door. Furniture was certainly adequate. The bathroom needs work done. Water damage along baseboards was unsightly, shower drained very slow and collected water, but we should have called to have that fixed. The door to the balcony was beat up and hard to use and the front door was very beat up as well, however, it did lock and we felt safe. The grounds of the complex were kept up very well. The pools were nice and well maintained. Access to the beach was great both in location and path to it. There was plenty of parking and someone always at the entrance gate.

Worn Out Condo

The condo was good size and great view and location on the island. However, the age and condition of the furnishing in the condo were quite old, dirty, and worn out. Most of the outlets are so old and worn out they barley hold in anything in the plugs. The sofas and trundle bed were worn out and stained. The bed was very old and worn out and the even the plastic covers on the mattress and box springs were dirty. A mattress topper was put on to try and make it better but that only made it to tall for the fitted sheet to stay on. We got Lysol spray to try and gid rid of the old musty order in the condo and make it feel less dirty. It would not take much to clean, paint, and get new furniture and beds for the condo to make it a decent condo but I would not stay here until the condo gets some type of investment by the owner. This is a nice complex, just a bad condo.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

VRBO did not honor their guarantee after we vacated the property after less than 18 hours. The rental management company only refunded my partial payment (I spent $1200 and got nack less than $700). These people falsely advertise this property and scam you out of your money! My husband had to use his rescue inhaler multiple times due to the moldly/mildew smell in the condo. Moldy/Mildew in the vents and A/C. Filthy vents. Stained bedsheets. Rusted door handle on balcony. You can see daylight through the front door lock. Horrible, stale, mildew smell. Moldy/mildew in the showers. Rusted towel hook on the bathroom door. NEVER rent this unit. Avoid renting a unit with SPI Rentals as the property management company. There are better properties in the island. Scam, scam, scam!!

Nice enough except for the bed

Like every rental condo I have stayed in on SPI, this one could use some updating and a deep cleaning. There were lots of towels, a well stocked kitchen and actual cleaning supplies which I appreciated. It is nice to try to keep the sand cleaned up. The elevator wasn't working one evening, I called SPI, they called the HOA and it worked later that evening. There were two negatives to this place. One, the water pressure sucked. It was horrible. Secondly, the master bed was the worst I have ever slept on. There was a huge depression in the middle of the bed. It didn't matter how you slept, you ended up rolling to the middle. The fitted sheet didn't fit so you ended up sleeping on the mattress directly with a tangled sheet. The mattress moved and your pillows slid down the wall. On the way down, your pillows would knock your phone charger out of the outlet. The mattress desperately needs an upgrade.

Great location but need TLC

The location of this property is great with regards to proximity to the beach and the view is amazing. The property manager was also great to work with. There was also a closet with some extra chairs and toys for the beach. My issue with the rental was the lack of investment in maintaining the property by the owner. I have stayed in 5 different condos in this resort/complex and this unit was by far the most run down yet still at the same price point of the other units. There needs to be an investment into the property to fix a number of issues. You can see outside between the front door and the door jam. The door to the porch was so old and busted that it could only be opened by me. Both toilets would constantly run and we had to keep going back and shaking the handle to stop the water. When you would shower in the main bathroom there was a backflow of sewage gases into the bathroom. The main fridge was old, rusted, and not working. A secondary fridge was brought in and would not seal properly. After having some of our food go bad, we saw the seal was bad so pulled furniture in front of the door to keep it sealed. We couldn't use the kitchen table because it was broken and wobbly. The master bed was really soft from the mattress pad. The trundle bed in the living room was very squeaky and I don't know how it didnt fall apart. The couches were old and not comfortable at all. I would defiantly stay in the complex again and with SPI property but just in a different unit.

I won't rent #405 again.

This condo has a sewer odor, a bad mattress that sinks in the middle, extremely bad lighting, no available pantry(locked), no available kitchen cabinet space as they are all full with far too many glasses etc., uncomfortable furniture and the water pressure is low. The electrical outlets need replacing as things you try to plug in just fall out of the outlet because they fit so loosely. Some of the dining chair's legs are unstable and the table wobbles. This could be a nice condo if they would spend just a small amount on it, get rid of that smell and allow visitors to have somewhere to put a few groceries in the kitchen. The location is great and the view is fabulous. We like the property overall, just not this particular condo.

Worse than Poor!!

This was absolutely the worst experience that I have ever had! Upon entering the condo, there was a slight smell and the floors were moist and sandy. Oh well, let's try to enjoy our vacation anyway. Sat on the balcony to have a drink and watch people on the beach after a long 10 hour drive. Then we went to the beach and came in around 8. We had supper and drinks on the balcony until bedtime. My wife and I both almost threw up when brushing our teeth because of the foul water. Exhausted, we went to bed. The bed was awful - hard and sheets would not stay on - not a restful night. In the morning we made coffee with bottled water and then off to the beach. Came back around 1 and immediately took a shower. OH! MY! GOSH! The water smelled like sewage and the whole condo stunk. Talked to several people in the complex - they had no water issues. Obviously this unit does not have drinkable water and there is some sort of sewage backup issue that was not disclosed to us. Called SPI and they sent the maintenance man. He immediately said "Wow, I can smell the sewage! Not much I can do but put in some sani-sticks". I called SPI and demanded to be put in another condo or house elsewhere. They did not have anything available. I then demanded an entire refund. SPI said they would charge us for the one night in this unsanitary hell-hole and could possibly refund cleaning, taxes etc. Their only question was what time would we be out. By this point I was irate. We packed up the car and headed home for another 10 hour drive within 24 hours. Because it was so late in the day, we had to stop in San Antonio and pay for a hotel room. That was Saturday and Sunday. Today is Wednesday and we still have not heard from SPI about our refund. We will be posting this to Facebook so that nobody else will suffer the same consequences as we have. I WILL NEVER USE SPI AGAIN!! I CAUTION YOU TO NOT USE THEM TOO!

Great condo

Only negative are the electrical outlets need replaced. Nothing will stay plugged in. Location and ocean view are great. Amenities are well maintained.

Great Rental Property!

We had a wonderful time. It was a great place to stay with terrific views of the Gulf. The Condo was well kept and clean and there were no issues checking in/out. We highly recommend this location.
