Hotel was very nice, but the decor is DARK. When our uber pulled up to the front of the hotel, it was so dark it did not look open. The room was clean and comfotable, but again, with every light in the room on it was very dark. The hotel had a shuttle to the airport which was very nice and convenient. Staff was great.

Great stay!
Great hotel, handy location and helpful staff. The room was comfy and clean with fluffy towels and pilows. Only negative point is the lighting. The room lighting makes the room really cosy however even in the bathroom, the lighting isnt great for putting on make up... a vanity mirror or brighter lighting option would make this hotel perfect! Wouldnt put me off staying again, always high quality stay at the Dakota

The WiFi only works with the TV on. No way to darken screen etc so impossible to catch up with emails while your partner sleeps. Why??? No recycling Towels changed rather than reused All sockets for charging on only one side of the bed. Other electric sockets inconveniently placed No direct reading light Only rainwater shower from above- other shower too low to be useful Basically, badly designed for use

It's the little things.
The Dakota is a great hotel. The public areas are cozy and welcoming, the reed diffusers everywhere means it always smells goo and the rooms are generally comfortable. I've stayed her 5 or 6 times and it's always been excellent. However this time I paid extra for an executive room and it wasn't as good as it could have been. The double bed was two mattresses so there was a join down the middle, the mattresses dint cover the bed base so there was an uncomfortable step round the bed, a cable was hanging down out the bottom of the TV and the pleather desk top was damaged in three places.
