Authentic, custom crafted, log home. Amazing natural light throughout the house. 2-person indoor Jacuzzi tub, 4 person outdoor hot tub, game room with ping pong, half-court basketball, and a weight room. Open plan dining room and kitchen. Living room with 40 inch smart TV. The cabin has two decks. Colossal upper deck has a table for outdoor dining, awesome for sunrise and sunset family meals. The lower deck has a grill and covered for all weather cooking.

South Royalton is an eclectic little town nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains. It is home to First Branch Coffee and Upper Pass Brewery, Chelsea 108 (diner), 3 bar/restaurants, 2 convenient stores, 1 gas station, and 0 traffic lights.

We also have great water activities close by including swimming, fishing, and tubing. Great hiking opportunities nearby.

Beautiful spot in the hills of Vermont

We had a great time staying at this property. There were 14 family members that gathered here to attend a nearby relative's birthday party. The house is spacious and very well equipped. The bedding is very comfortable, the kitchen has plenty of dishes and supplies for a large crowd, and there is a closet with family games in it. It is quiet and private and has a huge yard. Scott is friendly and helpful.

We had a big family celebration in a nearby town so 12 of us from all over the US and Canada stayed in this wonderful house. We never felt cramped or "on top of each other" and we loved that the front porch (a fabulous gathering place) was right outside the kitchen so you could be in either place without feeling removed from the action. The amenities were great and the host's communication was excellent. The only thing I would change, and it's a small thing, is that it would be nice to have twin beds in a couple of the rooms to accommodate "non-couples". We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and have already been talking about doing so actually :)

Picturesque Vermont Getaway

Incredible views, complete privacy, enough space for everyone to feel comfortable! This beautiful home is about as picturesque Vermont as it gets. Plenty of parking for multiple cars, bedrooms are spaced out for privacy (there aren't multiple beds crammed into one bedroom to increase capacity numbers in the listing). If you're looking for a big space for 10-12 guests, look no further! House was impeccably clean when we showed up, check in process was smooth. Surprisingly not a lot of bugs for the middle of summer. WiFi worked great with no hiccups. The house is a quick 4 minute drive into town where there's a handful of small town bars and restaurants as well as nearby gas station for provisions. House is fully stocked for grilling/cooking and the basketball hoop was a huge hit with our group. Scott the host was available immediately for questions and recommendations. 10/10 would recommend and given the opportunity would absolutely rent again!

Family gathering

Family reunion to celebrate the life of our recently departed Aunt who grew up in the area. The house decor felt warm and accommodating for our group. The beds and bedding were comfy, towels were great quality, everything was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with extras that we usually have to bring from home. Scott was great. Super flexible and quick response with any questions. Great time!

Great place for a reunion!

Scott's house was exactly what we needed to serve as a base for 7 adults returning to South Royalton for our law school reunion. The home was well cared for and provided the necessary space for our weekend together. We were even able to get in a short game of wiffle ball in the large front yard. Thank you Scott for making our weekend amazing!!

Beautiful Setting

There were 10 of us total (4 couples and 2 singles - all adults) and there was plenty of room for all of us. Each couple and each single had their own room. We were there to celebrate our daughter's college graduation from Dartmouth College which is about 30 minutes away. It was a joyous but very busy time so I'm sad to say that we didn't get to relax much. Which is unfortunate because the setting of the house is beautiful and the decks are very inviting. We didn't cook at the house (other than coffee/toast in the AM) so can't really speak to the kitchen. Scott was easy to communicate with. Overall it was a great spot for our group and I recommend staying here. Be sure to pop in to Worthy Burger in S. Royalton...they live up to their reputation as the best burger in New England.

Gorgeous Green Vermont!

We all really enjoyed our stay on this classic Vermont huge expanded log cabin property. There was plenty of room for our group of 13, and a lot of extra space to eat, play games, hang out, read, get some sun on the decks, barbecue, nap and chill. The house and property have so much personality and warmth, we felt welcomed and relaxed from the minute we arrived. Scott the host was responsive and helpful. We're all talking about our next time at this awesome retreat spot!

Great for a crowd

This house was great for a crowd! Loved the big island in the kitchen and the amount of bedrooms was perfect for all of our guests. Enjoyed the fire pit and rooftop deck area at sunset. View was beautiful. We will definitely be staying again.

Beautiful Property

We had a group of 14 stay 2 nights at this beautiful home. The house was PLENTY big and honestly, some of us got lost in it a few times. The outdoor space was absolutely perfect for us to play yard games and layout under the stars, although we were disappointed in ourselves for not taking advantage of the fire pit (plenty of wood was supplied). The house has 2 bedrooms on the first floor (1 with a king bed), 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor (1 of them is the master with its own beautiful bathroom) as well as another bed and futon. There is also another bedroom in the basement, however I would recommend using the dehumidifier as it was a bit musty down there. I don't think the pictures do this house justice. The home is much brighter and has tons of windows all around. Below is feedback from the group: "Plenty of room for activities" "The towels were super soft" "Plenty of toilet paper" "Spacious" One person even said "the house was like taking a full breath of air after feeling like she was drowning" (referring to the home and gorgeous views) This trip was exactly what we needed and the memories will last a lifetime. Scott was very responsive during booking and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall this is a great place to stay and I know many of the people in our group are hoping to visit again.

Better Than Advertised

Booked for two nights with friends at the last minute, couldn't have worked out better. From start to finish, the owner Scott was responsive, easy to work with and very helpful. The property is very private, was in perfect shape and included a giant deck with great views, a spacious lawn and a fire pit stocked with plenty of wood. The most unique aspect about the interior is a private wing that includes 5 of the bedrooms. It's directly connected to the main floor of the house, but allows for privacy if needed. Will definitely stay here again if booking a similar getaway.
