The Salty Pines - Near the Harbor!
Welcome to The Salty Pines, a reimagined coastal home set along Seawall Road in Southwest Harbor, where the feel is a little more local, a little more laid-back, and intentionally removed from the busier pace of Mount Desert Island. This 3-bedroom home has been thoughtfully remodeled to preserve its original character while making everyday living easy and comfortable. The layout offers room to spread out without feeling oversizedâspaces that feel natural for slow mornings, shared meals, and easy evenings in. Hints of the ocean appear just often enough to remind you where you are, without competing with the quiet, wooded surroundings that make this area so special. All three bedrooms are located upstairs, creating a sense of separation between shared living spaces and rest. The home features a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a third bedroom with two twin beds. Each bedroom is fitted with curtains for privacy and comfort, making it easy to settle in and feel at home whether you're traveling as family or friends. What sets this home apart is its setting. Seawall Road is known for its proximity to some of the island's most rugged and less-traveled shoreline. You're close to the sound of the surf, the smell of salt in the air, and some of the best sunset spots nearbyâyet still only a short drive to the center of Southwest Harbor for coffee, dinner, or anything you might need. Back at the house, the pace naturally slows. Evenings tend to gather around the firepit, mornings start a little quieter, and time feels less structured in the best way. It's the kind of place that doesn't try too hardâit just lets the location and the home speak for themselves. If you're looking for something that feels a bit more like Maine and a bit less like a typical vacation rental, The Salty Pines is exactly that.

Great overall shared space, the steep stairs should be highlighted and noted as it was a bit treacherous. Appreciated basic kitchen and bathroom supplies, should know how small bathroom and kitchen are especially for a three bedroom rental. Overall lovely and thoughtful. space, lovely books, abundant games, and glassware.
Exactly as described! Very close to Southwest Harbor, and a short drive to lots of things to do in Acadia and Bar Harbor. Perfect for our family of four!
